I was told not to eat wild rabbit in the summer, any truth to this ?

and bunnies make a damn fine Cachiatorre too! Don't laugh, it's true. Buddy of mine's mom was an Italian War bride...she made "canniglilo cachiatorre" (rabbit) every week. Back in the day, you could go down to DC and get live rabbits for cooking. Damn fine eating. |

tell him to stay away from the Russian rations...they taste rotten! The givial is good, IF you eat it before it goes bad.

I was told that when the weather is hot, rabbit meat doesn't taste good. |

it's kickass when you shoot them with a pellet gun and they jump straight up in the air and contort and die a slow death. man that's cool!

I wouldnt eat one during the winter! In fact the only way I would eat one is if it was a total SHTF survival-nuke all cows and spam were gone and the only thing left on this earth were styrofoam and cher. Then I might think about it. Most of the ones we kill, if left alone for a few hours, when you come back have this 4" long worm that evacuates thier anal area looking for another warm home. Would you eat that?
