You are right, there was no press coverage at all. And we were just across the street of the main building

I find it interesting that those cops will prevent the burning of that piece of shit un flag, but they will stand by and watch the stars and stripes being burned by every little socialist asshole.

The rally is to be commended. If they were in my neck of the woods, I would provide them with the match, and fluid to make sure the burn is complete. Guess it is the eastern mentality.

Great!  Oustanding effort by all. [beer] I was sure hopeing there would be something going on there.  Doesn't surprise me that the press weren't there.  They are never where they ought to be.  And if the New York Times carried it, all the networks would then report it on the evening news,  since all they ever do is copy whatever the "Times" says each day.
Question:  What was the legal basis for the cops stopping the burning of the UN flag?  Was it a fire ordinance thing or were they just protecting the flag for some reason?  [:d]

The media will never cover this kind of events, this is way to positive and true for them to show it on the screen or print; they want blood, murders by guns, rape...

The link is working now, sorry.

P.S Police claimed an old fire Dept. ordenance that prohibits open flames on public places.

Gentlemen,

You did not get the media coverage because this is not an important issue with the good people of the United States.

You are in the minority.

Gun owners are, because of their political stance, at odds with the mainstream media.

You will rarely, if ever, receive what you refer to as "fair" coverage by the media.

You are not "politically correct" from both a national and international perspective.

Despite the recent setbacks in our quest for global gun control at the United Nations, we will not give up in our endeavor.

The United Nations is very patient.

Thank you.

Hey Adam,
I'm sure that was a joke.  "Mr. Kofi" is the current Secretary General of the United Nations.

I seriously doubt if he is actually a member of this forum.

I wonder if anybody makes a UN flag floor mat.  I'd love to put one outside my door for wiping my muddy shoes on.

Maybe a UN flag background, "UNITED NATIONS" printed along the top and "IS UNWELCOME HERE" along the bottom.  Perhaps one of you artistic types could whip up an example real quick.

edited 'cause my idea changed a bit.

Poker Face had a birds eye view the whole day that we were there. I was proud at the folks who did show up. Sometimes we may not have the quantity in terms of numbers, but we do have Quality in the folks that do show up.

Included is a picture of the band rockling the folks at the rally. thank you for everyone who helped make it the great day that it was.

pokerkid: To post a pic, just find the url for the pic, and put image boxes around it. To post the pick you put up the url for in your previous post, it would look something like this:

{img}http://www.sasnewyork.com/gallery/trt_rally/images/2_018.jpg{/img}

Of course, you need to substitute straight brackets [] for the crooked ones {} I put up to illustrate. The end result is:
