As you guys can see we have a number of things going on behind the scenes.

Ed posted our situation with our current ISP and upcoming move (*crosses fingers*) to a NEW ISP!!! We'll have much more bandwidth and direct 24hour control over the servers which will be within 15 minutes instead of 2 hours!

I posted concerning MAIL's move to allow for greater flexibility and expansion of mail services!!! (Please read that post for specifics!)

A new set of major upgrades to the forums again based on speed, will begin shortly. (My goal is to make as fast as possible, so it's an ongoing process!) This will be a LOT of work, but should improve the entire site's speed.

The addition and importing of content will begin again, tonight or tomorrow, after a short period of relaxation and dealings with the mail and ISP issues. Ed and I will be handling the import of old content, while we also continuing efforts to bring new content to the site including our first column writer and a few new articles! (If you guys think new categories are needed for articles, please email me so I can add them!!!)

Finally, plans are beginning to progress in the area of new sites and expansions. We'll be partnering up to bring two new sites into the AR15.Com fold. This means memberships will be extended to those sites and their content will be ported to our engine as we create new homes for gun enthusiasts! Management of these sites will be handled outside of our reach (although we will help them keep clean and may help co-manage them), BUT their goal is to create clean and informative sites where quality comes first.

I'm very excited about all the changes and upgrades and wanted to share them with everyone as we progress in each area.

Keep in mind our main focus is the restoration and expansion of site CONTENT. (More INFO!) And in the continued improvements of speed and response time!!!

Well Don.. I'm going to take a shot at it and say a "shotty" is a firearm of some sort. Either that or GB is posting via a "shooter bar" some where. [%|]
