UN meeting. So we might get a story later on from them.

Its already been on AOL's news page.

The US flatly rejected the proposal put forward by the Kofi Annans people at the UN. By announcing it before the meeting really began they have kind of locked themselves into a stance.

The US counter proposal is for the rest of the world to adopt export licensing procedures like we use for weapons exports, rather than a outright ban.

They will refuse of course, and the meeting will end without anything adopted. As usual.

Just saw it, and they had an inerview with Bob Barr.  They showed a bunch of cool guns (mostly AKs) being turned in, in some 3rd world country.  They actually mentioned the 2nd Amendment like it actually meant something.

I was shocked when they just showed the piece on Fox report w/Shepard Smith.
Glad it's on the news so other Americans can see what is going on in NY.

There may be hope yet.

And you know who's with us this time?
The Russians and the Chinese. Strange bedfellows.

Do you know who is against us?

England, Japan, and CANADA! Traditionally our three closest friends are stabbing us in the back!  Our comparitively free gun laws are making them look bad.  They continue to blame their mounting crime problems on US, since they have cracked down on guns, rather than admiting gun control doesnt work.

Reuters, a European paper, is already harping on the fact that the US, Russia, and China have the three biggest arms manufacturing industries in the world.  They are starting that "Merchants of Death" crap to pander to the mobs in the Third World.

They refuse to take any other issues like personal safety and resistance to tyranny seriously...
