Somehow yesterday was the least busy I have ever seen my local range.  
In any case, I took the chance to bring  some moew new shooters to the range.  I think the range safety officer is getting used to this, he told the three new guys they were in good hands for their first time [:)].

One is now planning on picking up a Glock 21.  The other two have a whole new appreciation for firearms.  They all managed to keep fingers clear at necessary times, listened well, and managed to shoot alright for their first time.  

They asked "You have one of THOSE??  Is that legal?" when I pulled the AR out of its case.  They did agree that it was just about the most fun you could (legally) have with a gun though in this state.  Every little bit helps, even if it's one or two votes at a time.  

Ohhh!!!! Converted some people to the darkside. You have done well, young Darth.

HANGFIRE...that's one of the range masters...when we were posing (downrage [:)]) for the group photo, he busts out with:

The 'Gang Banger' is a decent sort, just a younger, less refined version of me.  He is my previous convert.  Bought a Walther P99, and is working his way through his first case of ammo.  

I figure if I can convert 6 a year, and they start to convert a few folks a year, then 213 years from now, Cali will have 1 million more shooters.
