Aside from the ridiculous 5 second "slow-fire" rule w/ rifles...it's in not too bad shape. Strictly paper targets though. I heard you used to be able to shoot all kinds of cool shit there...refrigerators, TV's, bowling pins, framed pics of your ex-wife, but not anymore. $8 for all day shooting is fair. Got a great tan today!

Hi, If you are in Westchester, you are not that far from the Hudson Valley. I heard that there is a gun shop in Goshen called Knights that has an indoor 100 yd rifle range. I heard the cost is $15 per hour. My friend also told me about Blue Mountain in Cortland Manor. However, he said that they kinda look down on black rifles there.

I remember shooting in Long Island back in 1979. I forgot what range it was since someone always drove us there. It may have been near the Edelman gunshop where I bought my Colt SP1. I remember that you can not rapid fire. In fact, they force you to load only one bullet in the magazine, shoot, detach, insert new bullet in magazine, insert, shoot. Kinda took the fun out of the AR. The only rifle that we could rapid fire was a Ruger 10/22. At least the single shot rule helped me save money (I was a poor student back then as compared to a poor worker bee now).

Since we are on this topic. Anyone know of a rifle range close to the Fishkill, Poughkeepsie, Wappingers Falls area?
