Just downloaded an MP3 of the score of Hamburger Hill, always thought the score matched the movie perfectly.

It still gives me goosepebbles.

Seriously, the score for "Dances With Wolves" invokes some rather strong imagery in my mind...

I think it was JW, but i'm not sure

Much of the Gladiator score (e.g.: "Sorrow" track where Maximus comes home to find his wife and son crucified and burned).  Also, if you have the DVD, listen to the background music of "Chapter Two" (think it's called "The General") of the "Making of Gladiator"...that Lisa Gerrard can get just flat out errie.

I have always thought the theme from The Rock is fitting to the movie.

Not sure who performed it, but the theme from the original "Halloween" movie with Jamie Lee Curtis still makes my skin crawl.

Hans Zimmer is the man!
Backdraft, Gladiator, Crimson Tide, The Rock, etc, are all kick ass sound tracks.

The Aliens trilogy is pretty kick ass too, especially "Aliens 2".

Excaliber is a must have. Carmina Burana says it all.

Dances with wolves is amazing!

Glory has to be in your collection too.

I love the Star Wars Anthology, Saving Private Ryan, Raiders of the Lost Arc, Jaws, Close Encounters, ET, Empire of the Sun... John Williams rules!

Check out the sound track to The Crow, it is very unique and very, very cool. In someways, better than the movie itself.

Saving Private Ryan has a special place for me.

Mainly because I visited the Airborne Museum in Arhem that year and met and old man that was staring at a group photo of 20+ airborne troopers. We sat down, bought him a drink and he told me that the day after that pic was taken he was among of 5 survivors after jumping.

out the the 5 survivors that made it to the ground two saw the end of the war, he was one of those two. I was impressed, shocked and felt a deep respect for this veteran. The actor that played the older Ryan on the Normandy cemetaries portrayed very well what I saw that day.

The Henry Mancini theme for the movie "Experiment in Terror", staring Glenn Ford and Lee Remick.

Kind of partial to the score for "Escape from NY". Got that chilly gothic sound to it.

"Apocalpypse Now" was good too. The  Doors- how can you go wrong.

Not so much a soundtrack, but the sounds used in 'The Shining' are simply chilling.  Its one of my favorite flicks for many reasons, not the least of which is the sound effects/music.  Watch that movie and listen carefully; its excellent.
