Since it is MY day, the wife let me pick the entertainment.  I'm taking her and the kids to the desert to shoot her new 870, her new .40, and the M-96 and AR and AK and 10-22 and 1895G and ..........I've been saving milk jugs since last Father's Day, I've probably got 75 or so.  My wife has been annoyed 'cause half of the garage is full of them!  But the kids love to shoot them when filled with water and I love the looks on their faces when the jugs jump off the ground and spew water everywhere.  Man I love being a dad! It doesn't get any better than this.

Sounds like a good idea - will try a range I've never been to before - hopefully they have plenty of benches.

I can't go today (had to work until 0600) but my stepdad and I are going to make a range trip tomorrow.  He has a yet-unfired PWA with Bushy parts, so I bought him 200 rounds as his Father's Day present.  Now he won't have an excuse not to shoot it!

It will be nice to shoot some rifles for a change.  The last time I went to qualify I brought my Bushy but didn't get to shoot it much.  I did make a convert out of one of my fellow deputies, who is now planning to buy his own [:D].  Too bad that my lovely state of Kalipornia won't let the rest of the "hoi polloi" buy AR's and the like anymore [>(].

Well, I went to the range today (no, I'm not a Dad); and saw myself a couple of "Pappys" their with their kids.

I was breaking in my new preban (yeah, breaking it in, it's NEW), and while cleaning it I thought; I can't wait to have a kid just to show him (or her if it has to be that way) how to shoot.

I think some of those Dads had a great time with their kids. I wish my Dad was into guns (instead of duck fluckin hot-rods). [heavy]

Me and my dad went for about 3 hours today at a pistol range. It was Kind of annoying though for some reason they were letting guys shoot a 12ga in there. Makes it kinda hard to concentrate.

I took my dad to a pistol match at a local range yesterday, we had a blast.  He hasn't shot a whole lot, but he pretty good for his first time.
