Are you flappy heads in Canada finally learning that Colt is a sell-out company, just like SW?

(Sorry, that was below the belt.  Please don't hurt me.  All in good fun.[:D])

Oh no!!!
Those same people must have infiltrated
my credit card company,
the V.A. and the
Sears warranty service dept.

My experience with Colts customer service dept has been fine, no problems at all.

Just my 02. Good luck on the springs.

First thing I always ask is:

"Excuse, is this conversation being monitored or recorded?"

This usually floors the operator right away.  Most of the time the operator does try to find an answer. If the answer is yes my reply is:

"I do not want this conversation to be recorded or monitored.  If you can not offer your services without the intruding into my privacy then I can not give my business to your company."

Sometimes the operators state that they are unable to turn off the recording/monitoring equipment.  When this happens I just say:

"Thank you anyway." and hang up.

those recorded calles in customer service as are much to protect you, the customer, as they are anybody else.

i am curious as to why someone would have problems with customer service calls being recorded.  it's not like you're trying to hide something.

this isn't meant as a flame, just trying to see the other point of view.

Let me guess, you usually get the "Welcome to the 1-800-HOTT-SEX line, only $4.99 per minute. Please enter your valid credit card number now" message, right? [:)]

Try "GUN PARTS CORPORATION", West Hurley, NY 12491, Tel. 914-679-2417, fax 914-679-5849.

They have Colt Woodsman parts... but it varies on what is in house from time to time.  If Parts Corp. doesn't, they may be able to refer you.
