I keep them full of McDonald's straws and tactical 1" squares of paper. You may not have time to tear it up into the correct sizes when SHTF... -Troy |

Can I borrow some 10mm? That shit is expensive on a college student's budget... Ok, lets see: ~1600---8mm ~1300---7.62x39 (fmj, fmj "nipple", and SP) ~300----.22lr ~270----12ga(mainly birdshot, but also a dozen or so buck and slugs) ~90------10mm 50-------.45acp, and I dont even own a gun in that caliber I will be going to the store to get some more .22lr and 10mm. |
I never have enough either, but right now......probably........
.45 - 200rds 9mm - 150rds. .40 - 100rds. (no gun to shoot it though) .223 - 125rds. 7.62*39 - 125rds 12gauge - 40rds. .357mag - 50rds. |
between 8-10 thousand of mixed caliber.
reminds me, I should be placing an order soon.... |
I have a small collection of representative caliber ammo.
However, if sKerry wins the election you can bet your sweetest and most lusted for bippy that I will be pursuing an enormous ammo/firearm purchasing binge while I am still able. Of course, everything I purchase in my haste will unfortunately be lost in a tragic boating accident... I am sooo careless in boats... I really must correct this deficiency. If sKerry is Elected, Only Outlaws Will Have Guns. |

Strange you should ask that question now!? Why is it so important you be stocked up? Does it have something to do with the upcoming election Expecting a zombie attack? ( i know I am!)
Anyhew, Went to range today and burned some up but heres what I got left: 7.62x39 500 8mm mauser 300 7.62x54r 100? .22 lr 1000 9mm 150 .32 acp 75 .380 acp 50 Not enough really to survive a major zombie attack, But I do live within walking distance of a sporting goods store. I figure I'll shoot my way there then loot the damn place, oh and help myself to some nice optics as well |

How do you store all that ammunition? Secondly, how long does that ammunition stay good for?
50+ years easy. Sgatr15 |

Not in my house. Usually only 1 or 2 weekends. I consume over 100,000 rounds a year. I have a problem, admitting it is the first step. |

What's up? It's not like they are going to stop making ammo in the near future. I only buy ammo when it's a good deal. Like for instance 8mm ammo is at a historic low price right now. So I buy as much of that as I think I may need for my lifetime. But everything else, unless it's a great deal screw it. I'd rather have fresh ammo than stuff that been sitting in my basement for decades.
That's how we do it too. When Aim runs a sale on .308 for $149/1k shipped I get a couple of thousand rounds. Same goes with .223 |
Sounds to me like you need to get some more clips loaded, you never know when the local gangbanger will try and bring in all their buds |
ahh, a lightweight! |
here's what I did the last time we could buy Federal ammo at employee discount ( I worked for a company that was part of Federal)
I went 6 weeks without a paycheck |

All depends on who wins next Tuesday.
If sKerry wins, I'll probably sign one of my Platinum Cards over to Ammoman.com. UPS will have to bring a semi-tractor and not just the brown truck. |
