SLR-95 brand new for $199 back in the `90's
Colt R6830 7.62x39 pre-ban complete with several mags and a Mosin-Nagant rifle to sweeten the deal - $700 two years ago (from my cousin).
Benelli M3 Super 90 (pre-ban) for $600 from a desparate friend in 1998.
M16 RR (SP1) for $7.5K a year ago - now worth about $10k.
I won't count all the guns my dad has given me.

Norinco NHM91 AND a Firing Line milled receiver RPK - both for $900 (the RPK alone is worth a little more than that, so basically a free NHM91)

2 L.C. Smiths and a Parker double for 50 bucks each, sight unseen.  The guy told me they were in rough shape.  Turns out they had a small  bead of rust where they laid in the case.  Got 800 apiece for the L.C.'s the next morning and gave the Parker to my old man

The best deal was all night for $35.  And she was smokin' hot.  I figured out that it was the best deal when I realized I didn't catch anything.

edited - Sorry, I always get the "this my rifle, this my gun" part mixed up.

Right before the ban I bought a Sendra AR from a guy that had to have the bucks. I bought it for $450 and sold it in 2000 for $1600.

Devine M1A while stationed at Ft. Bragg in '86 for $800. Sold it about 3 years ago for $2500
Wished I hadn't gotten rid of that one.

Bought a (then) pre-ban Colt Sporter, small hole, flattop for.... no shit... $600, NIB. Some guy walked into my friends shop while I was filling in. Wanted to sell it and as a joke I said "$600" because it was all that I had on me. This was about 2yrs ago.
Turned around and sold it to a friend for $1300. I suspect I could have gotten more if I wanted to push it.

gun-related?  Aww.  Well, I got a NIB Leupold scope for only $100.  Someone decided to clean out the attic and found it in a many-year-old box marked $129, so he sold it for a bit less.  I think the same one was going for $250 at the time.

Non-gun, I get a 10NT discount on beef-n-scallion buns at the local night market, on account of I'm such a good customer.

The best was probably the OA-93 I picked up for $500 a few years back. I popped it a few weeks later at $2,200.

I got a pretty good deal on a P7 a while back for $600. Thought that was pretty fair.

Picked up a complete preban ZM weapon on an EA receiver for $1,100 and definitely didn't cry about that. Up traded that on a couple other guns but don't recall which.

The rest have just been "ok" deals.

The worst deal I've MISSED was two years ago on Sturmgewehr. Dude had  P7M13's for $699 INCLUDING two hi caps. I shoulda bought the whole freakin lot. I also remember in 2000 when the dude from Vegas had brand new bushmasters for $550 delivered all over the boards. After 9-11 prices went WAYYY up.
