Wrangler! I like the thought of more room with the wrangler unlimited, but they only have those in automatic.
If you can afford it, buy a rubicon!

OK, OK...I'm all but convinced on a new Rubicon. Now, does anyone know of a place to shop for a price that will meet/beat  JeepWarehouse.com ?   I kick myself for not getting one in '04 from them, but I would like some other options as to where to shop.  Have gun, will travel.   And... how 'bout opinions on drive back vs. delivery ???  I figure I'll either love or hate it by the time I get back to SoFla.      Stay safe

Wranglers have a much higher resale than the cherokee.

Used cherokee can be had pretty cheap.

Really just depends on your needs. Both are decent vehicles, the wrangler can suck on long trips, and you don't have much space. They are a fun ride, though. Get the 4.0, whichever you decide.

Grand Cherokee is the most problematic of the Jeeps.

+1...My next vehicle in all likelihood will be a Jeep Cherokee. My current ride, a 1995 Dodge Dakota built at the same facility here in Toledo, is up over 220k miles.

If you don't own a Wrangler you don't REALLY own a Jeep.  But, honestly, when it comes to slick roads I would rather just have a front wheel drive car.  Wranglers can be scary on such things.  I have a Wrangler.

You obviously don't have 31 inch Bridgestone Dueller Revos Tires are VERY important on a Wrangler...

I have MTR's.  I was planning on Revo's to replace them.  Does it really make that huge a difference.  I was hoping so.  Most of my driving is onroad.

I am a firm believer that the Bridgestone Revos are one of the best tires ever made. The Revos replaced the Michelin LTX ATs that had a problem (long story...but they started to "chunk" out at 12k miles! ). The Revos give me much better wet weather performance than the Michelins did (when they were new). I have read of many replacing their MTR's with Revos, and not regretting it (I don't have any direct MTR experience). Off road though, the Revos just kill my old Michelins. The only problem is they kick up so much mud I should invest in some wider fender flares lol. Very hard to keep the soft top clean.

How do those compare to the BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A?  I've got those right now on a Cherokee 4.0 and they seem pretty good but I haven't driven them on snow or ice.  I'm always curious about upgrades.

Look for a model with the DANA 44 rear end and at least 3.73 gears, trust me on this one.

XxSLASHERxX its hard to go wrong with the TJ, space being the only issue and a Rack can solve that. Way more maneuverable than its bigger siblings.

Here is a pic of the wife's yellow and my green Jeeps:

They fit right into everyday life and could each double as a BOV in a pinch. I only wish the Rubicons were out there when I bought these...

That's a sweet  setup TZLVredmist, who made the rack? I notice you changed your front bumper around a few times, which one did you stick with?
