+1.  Wasn't sure about my 5000 Auto when I got it, but it has supplanted my 710.

Also carry a 145 when in uniform.

R.E.K.A.T Sifu Megafolder.

Mine is ATS-34 stonewashed blade, and the Rolling Lock is rock solid, even with a spine whack.
Sharp as a razor, all 5.45" along the recurved blade.

Got it on the EE.

I HAVENT SEEN ANY KNIVES THAT COMPARE WITH MY BENCHMADE 806D2

By the way, I have the non-serrated version because it gives more slicing power.

Kershaw Ken Onion Blackout, partially serrated blade.

It really bothers the dozens of Libs I work with in the San Francisco bay area to see it clipped to a senior manager's pocket.

When I really want to make them squirm I flick it out one handed and use it around work for various things. It's hilarious.

I thought I lost it and bought another, so of course, I found the old one the day the new one arrived. I gave the new one to my ultra liberal planner, who also bought a Glock recently.

Eradicating the liberal anti-self defense virus one person at a time.

240, Im in the SF Bay Area too...I flick out that Skirmish at work today to open a box (I work at the bakery in Safeway, Union shop, all ultra libs...) The only person who didn't nearly shit themselves was my boss, an ex-gangbanger. He wanted to know about the knife, lol.

By looking at the handle, I'd say that has Japanese roots.

Edit to add : And now that I freaking notice the background and bamboo and the folded fan, I'd say it definitely does.

Benchmade 5000SBT Presidio Auto Axis.  Awesome knife, and the best part is, my squadron bought it for me prior to my last deployment to the sand box.

(I'm in the military, so we are allowed to have auto openers).

Yep, it sure does. It is a CRKT Hissatsu designed by CQB expert James Williams specifically as a killing tool for toe to toe engangements. Hissatsu means coupe de grace in Japanese and the design was inspired by centuries old fighting knives.

There is something to be said for carrying a razor sharp 7" blade as a concealed weapon.

You're right about that.   Here people might actually use their blades.

OTOH, here's my daily carry knife, being a super secret ultimate ninja and bomb tech...
