Oh nonsense. Absinthe has wormwood, and yes it's a neurotoxin. But it only "rots your brain" if you drink it all day long, for years. Just like drinking beer all day long for years will rot your liver. A drink of it now and then poses no danger. |

Did a little online research and the general consensus is that you should avoid any absinthes from the Czech/Balkans/Eastern European nations for now. Something about heavy metal content. I guess that QC isn't so good. The y did however recommend the stuff from France, Germany, Spain. And the stuff from New Orleans has no thujon ( or thurjon, can't remember). That's the stuff that makes you hallucinate. |

Your logic is out of whack. There are facts, there is science, and there is hype. Heroin is an opiate. PCP is, well, I don't know what PCP is, but it's bad. Absinthe, on the other hand, is as dangerous as whiskey. Drink too much, too often, and there'll be consequences. That's the facts. Or you can rely on 19th Century wive's tales, and 4th party anecdotes. That's up to you. |

Its good the 2 brands i have tried are la fee and sebor. La fee was better alot stronger on the thujine content. its more of a lucid drunkeness.
