W_W,
Are you sure this isn't just one of those "Plus 1" threads for trolls? BigDozer66 |

I've been a Christian all my life, but I started college two years ago as a BIO major. My teachers have all drilled evolution into my head and I am starting to believe parts of it. Would it be wrong to suggest that God created the universe and everything in it and he gave all organisms the gift of speciation and natural selection? I don't think that humans evolved from Great Apes, but I do believe that there has been speciation. I don't feel that anyone can deny that if a species can't change with its environment it will not survive (dinosaurs). I feel that the weak will die off and the strong will survive and the genetic ratio in the community will shift to reflect it.
Anyone else agree with this? jerad |

You maniacs! You blew it up! Oh, damn you! God damn you all to hell! |

+ infnity But we can argue God's plan was primordial ooze that became this fucked up world we have. |

[taking evolution as truth hypothetically for the sake of the arguement] You are justifying the denial of truth, or at least scientific evidence, for the sake of social harmony. Thats ignorant and takes mankind back a step. Way to go "Comrade." |
... Ha! You are absolutely correct amigo! ... Up, and to including the theory of Evolution! |
wtf? why must one automatically be exclusive of the other? if you are a so-called "creationist" you can't believe in darwinism at any level and vice-versa? can't we get another poll option?
Cha-ching! Bingo. |

Why can't evolution be creation? I've never understood this argument...

Sgt... This has got to be one of your more well said posts. Here here! |

I need to go to another forum and put up a "FIRE MISSION!!! HIT THIS POLL!!!!" thread.
Creationism. God said "Let there be light" and BIG BANG, there was light. |
I believe in creation as the Bible say's. I believe that the one and only true living GOD (of Abraham & Issac) created mankind and the world we live in a perfect state, but man's rebellion against God caused sin to come into this world and put a wedge between man & God. God gave his son Jesus Christ to redeem all of mankind. Evolution is a lie from Satan meant to turn mankind away from God.

What the hell are you talking about? Jerad |

You must be a youngin'. You might have got it if Marky Mark had said this at the end of the 2001 version, right? Whatever happened to the Funkybunch, anyway? |

I'd just like to make a point again (since a few others have tried to make it already).
EVOLUTION HAS NOTHIGN TO SAY ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD, OR THE BEGINNING OF LIFE Evolution (or a theory of natural selection through the differential survival rates of mutations in various enviornments) describes a mechanism by which life forms evolve and change over time as mutations that are better at breeding survive. It has NOTHING to do with the beginning of the world, formation of planets, solar systems, etc. It also has NOTHING to do with biogenesis (or whatever the technical term is) i.e. the beginning of life. Evolution says nothing about HOW life originally came to be. The theory is designed at explaining how modern life forms came to be, and how life forms can change over time. So technically, the quesiton (and the poll) is nonsensical. It's like asking "What's the better car - a porsche boxter or a boeing 747?" |
you can have god and form of Evolution
But I myself feel I came from a monkey, would explain my hairy ass... |

It wouldn't be a dog if it had gills |

It's the missing link, Lamo he does look like a cave man |

Well, it IS John Walker... A would call it a missing link, most certainly. A lower lifeform, indeed. |

Creationism but with some evolution mixed in after the 7th day.
+1 A better parallel would be "creationism or big bang theory" |

No offense, but from your posts, it seems that your ONLY qualification to comment on these things IS your religious beliefs. I'm curious as to what your qualifications actually are are that allow you to CONTRADICT the opinions of pretty much every highly educated scientist who specializes in this stuff and works in labs, research institutions, universities and governments around the world. Get a Ph.D. in biology or something and then come back and tell us what it is YOU KNOW that all of these tens of thousands of Ph.D.s in biology, biochemistsy, etc. apparently DON"T KNOW. |
