I have yet to ascertain if this doctrine is not too far out.

Well, therein lies the key to understanding this church and determining whether or not it is something in which you should become involved.
IF you are being sincere with your fellow Christians on this Board, then I would suggest that you find out what this church's doctrines might be and measure it against what is revealed in the Scriptures.
Men NOT finding work in Colorado? Hmmm, not a very good sign for any group of folks.
Withdrawal from the world at large? Not a very good sign for any group of Christians!
Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry lived fully in the world about Him. He was the guest and the host for many different types of folks.
He excluded no one from His audience, but preached openly and without hesitation to whoever came before Him.
As a matter of fact, His last Commandment to His Church was this:
Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15
Note that He did NOT say, 'Gather yourselves into cloisters, hide in caves, withdraw from the World until such time as I return.'
He wishes us to become involved in the World for His sake, not to hide from this present World!
If this church preaches only to itself, and not to others, then what good does it serve the Lord?
Is it not like the unprofitable servant who the Lord chastised for hiding his talents rather than using them to the Master's benefit?
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Matthew 7:20
It will become obvious rather quickly, I would think, whether this church is on the right path to the Lord, or not!
His Church simply does not need a repeat of the error that was at Mount Carmel, when Christians were misled by a wicked and false 'messiah.'
