White Castle is great drunk food. Taco Bell also works.

Though, the BEST drunk food I ever got was from some random bar in NYC like 5-6 years ago....

A friend and I had deposited ourselves at this bar towards our "lets see if we can drink lower Manhattan dry tonight" tour. We were both pretty fucking drunk. We asked one of the guys behind the bar if they were still serving food, they said no...but we SMELLED the bacon that someone was cooking. We asked WTF, they told us they were frying it up for tomorrow morning's breakfast crowd.

We asked them for bacon, mayo, and american cheese on a sub, and they said ok.

Musta been a good pound of bacon on our sandwiches each, not to mention enough mayo to make a horse keel over from a heart attack.

That was fine eating.

One of our favorites in college was thick crust bacon and meatball pizza oh those were good.

funny you say that...EVERYTIME ive eaten them....ive puked them up.....also the same w/ White Castles.....they taste the same to me..and i always ralph them up...sober OR drunk.

Cant seem to find them down south here, but White Castle is my vote. Nothing like a bag of belly bombers after a serious night of drinking. I used to live in New Brunswick NJ, and the pizza and grease trucks were always available for the partying masses as well. About the only thing I miss about that State. The food.

Oh man, I forgot about Anitas!!!!! I grew up in NoVA, and those things were good!! I think I'm going up there this weekend...maybe I'll have to swing by.

I haven't seen Lumpia since I was in the Corps and a buddies wife made it. I would love to find out a recipe!

Ask and ye shall receive, brother! Make sure you get SPRING ROLL and not EGG ROLL wrappers.

1 pound ground pork
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, grated
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons salt
1 (16 ounce) package spring roll wrappers
1 1/2 quarts oil for frying

DIRECTIONS:
In a Large bowl, combine ground pork, ground beef, onion, and carrot. Make sure to completely mix everything. I suggest getting down and dirty and use your hands. Knead the meat in the bowl if you must. Gradually blend in the soy sauce , black pepper, garlic powder, and salt until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Lay out a few wrappers at a time on a flat surface, and place about 2 tablespoons of the filling in a line down the center of the wrapper. Make sure the filling is no thicker than your thumb, or the wrapper will cook faster than the meat. Take the bottom and top edges of the wrapper and fold them towards the center. Take the left and right sides, and fold them towards the center. Moisten the last edge of the wrapper to seal. Now repeat using the rest of the wrappers, and have hubby or the kids help you out.
Heat the oil in a deep-fryer or heavy skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Fry 3 or 4 lumpia at a time. Fry for about 3 or 4 minutes, turning once. Lumpia are cooked through when they float, and the wrapper is golden brown. Cut in half, or serve as is with dipping sauce. We like sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce with lemon, or banana ketchup.

Big fan of the White Castle, but if you have a Steak N' Shake, go with the Frisco Melt Platter w/ o-rings and cheese fries, a chili 5-way with lots of pepper juice, and a chocolate shake! Perfect 3:30AM snack after you're thrown out of the pub!

(well it was good at 3:30, but when 8:00 A.M. rolls around, watch out!)
