Puhleeez.... I suppose you think the 70s was a talentless decade too. I once thought that way, but that is far from the truth. Disco was a very small part of 70s music. |

Man, I saw Belinda Carlisle as the opening act for Robert Palmer in 1987 and not only does that chick have a voice and knows how to use it, but she was HOT HOT HOT.
She'd recenly lost a shitload of weight, from when she was in that chick band (I forgot the name), and I was eye banging her to no end. We were in the 5th row, just off center stage. Even though Robert Palmer was kick ass, I hated to see Belinda leave the stage. There WAS some consolation. Palmer had a Japanese sax player who not only could play the sax but she was HOT also. Plus, chicks outnumbered guys about 3:1 at the concert, so it was cool feeling like a piece of meat walking down the hall or aisle. NO, I didn't get lucky the first time I went, mainly because I wasn't driving. YES I did the next year. |

White Zombie. Thunkerkiss 65 & Black Sunshine. Don't forget Psychoholic Slag.
And that's off their last eighties album, La Sexercisto vol 1. Never heard Make Them Die Slowly or anything by them that was released earlier. |
White zombie was 80s? I was thinking more like 91 or so, ? |

The Go-Go's didn't suck until the record label re-made their image. When they were signed they were a pretty hard rocking punk girl band. The label smoothed their edges and ruined them. A common tale. |

I can't believe not one of you mentioned Uncle Ted, Ted Nugent. What about Van Halen when they were REALLY Van Halen and not Van Hager? REO SpeedWagon was another "super group" in the 80's that sold out shows.
I loved his stuff from the 70's. Did not like any of his music from the 80's. |
