Do any of you have wives that think that you spend too much time thinking and takling about guns?  Mine has not been too happy since I found AR-15.com. Don't get me wrong, she likes guns but she thinks that I am odsessed with them. I don't think I am. I just like shooting them and learning all I can about them. Am I the only one with this problem?

One day my wife said to me,  "You love them guns don't you?",  I said, "Yes, and they love me right back!" [:D]

My wife gets mad all the time but not about my gun obsession. She understands because she likes to go to the range and ....why yes I have an obsession with guns!

You do know that denial is the first symptom.....don't you?

She does not mind, but not sure why. It's either because she really does not mind or because she has 600 pairs of shoes, 800 beanies and 2300 pairs of clothing and knows if she says anything they may all disappear. [}:D]

no wife, but the girlfriend says i'm obsessed - to which i agree! when she gets that "look" whenever a new gun "appears" at the range, i just remind her that these are all "collector's items" and that each purchase is an "investment" in our future.

besides, she got so turned on shooting the fatty, that i haven't heard so much as a peep about it since!!!    [:D]

Everyone has some type of vice.  My wife knows I like shooting, reading about, and cleaning guns.  But whenever she mentions it, I, very nicely, explain how she is a clothes nazi (she freaks out over a wrinkle) and a shoe horder (at least 2 closets).  She's easy going so I dont have a problem.

My wife may be more obsessed with guns than I am (if that's possible) The only time she get's mad is when we go to a gun show or shop and don't bring one home.

My wife has her shoe and clothing collection like most women have. As far as shooting, She's always looking to beat me at my own game with my rifles!!  loves to brag when she does.

Yes, my wife hates guns and AR15.com.  Every time she Bit@&es at me though, I buy a new gun, so she stopped.  Now she says she'll cut me off.  I told her she couldn't cut me off, because she didn't know where I was getting it!

Nah.......not mad.

She does occasionally mention all the goodies that I buy but not in a bitter way or anything.

Right now I have absolutley got to control myself as I have just surpassed my greatest all time spending spree by several, several hundred dollars.......

Hey.............its for the future...what can I say.

I am gonna try to go a whole year without any new gun purchases.....................yeah right.

it's not really luck, you just have to really look before you settle on someone you are willing to spend your whole life with. We do everything together, climbing, mountaineering, kayaking, backpacking, backcountry skiing etc. It makes the relationship that much stronger if you both have alot of common interests.

Maybe I should start an auction for her sister who is very much like her and "VERY" single. :)

No. She feels that everyone should have them. Plus she's thankful that they don't need to be fed (hay, dog food etc).

My wife never get mad.

She's happy I don't spend my money on drugs, beers or chasing other women.  Atleast with guns I'm home at night reloading, cleaning and playing with my toys.

I see I'm not the only one whose wife collects clothes, while I collect guns.
That being said, even though she's not as much into guns as I am, she is in total agreement when it comes to RKBA, and understands why I'm so into them.

Though I think we both agree that I'm obsessed.

I solved that problem by buying her an AR of her own. She loves her Oly Arms shorty. Buy the old lady one she'll love you for it. Besides it becomes mine as soon as she goes to bed!

Bummer, dude, my condolences since you posted a sad face.  17 years is a little long to go without a wife for a guy who fell victim to that trap...I only lasted 4 years after I divorced my first and got tired of the bar scene...Women are almost as addictive as guns. I hope you've at least had female companionship. AR's,FAL's, M1A's can only do so much.....

I will not be closet gun owner!! I have told her this time after time. I do not give a crap what others think of me and/or if they know if I have guns. If they do not want to associate with me because of this F'um!
