5th gen 3SGTE sitting in pieces in the garage. Finishing up bathroom reno so hoping to get back onto that. Still needs some parts to come in, so I'll get to play the waiting game again, which I did waiting on rods, pistons, bearings, and rings last year. The car is at least running with the boat anchor 5SFE and can I drive it when it's nice out.
After that I have my Bronco which needs a full teardown to address rust issues. I haven't even started it in two months |

2010 2 door JK wrangler I bought to enjoy running around mostly top less on nice days.
Was going great until the timing belt on my son ranger let go and I had to put him in the jeep to send him back to school. Now who knows when I will get it back to work on. |

Quoted: Which one? View Quote Yep - Right here brother. Had a '73 Camaro and then a '72 Camaro and a '75 Vette. I have no time to have fun. The first one needed too much work. Bought for $500 and scrapped it. The second one I did some work to and turned a nice profit. The Vette was pretty much a wash. Ended up buying a '98 Vette that needs nothing except me to drive it. I told my wife I bought it because it was the year we were married. That didn't get me far. |

66 Corvette coupe, 327/350hp, 4 spd, pb, sidepipes nassau blue/white with 70k miles. Everything is original including paint except for alternator. It needs mechanicals done and paint as it hasn’t been on the road since 1990. Had it running 2-3 year ago and drove it around the yard and parked it again. Some day, I’ll give it some love. For now, i have kids going to college soon.

Runs good and doesn't leak a drop as it is. Of course, lower gears for the transfer case are sitting in a box on a shelf in the garage. If I was smart, I would get them installed, call it finished, and sell it. Probably won't though. Doesn't seem finished compared to the Jeep that I finally completed and almost immediately sold.

Sort of a project car since it sits in the garage and I'm slowly going through replacing the usual BMW problem area.
I saw a BMW 640i Gran Coupe one day at the import repair place where I was having my MB oil and turn up done. What a beautiful car was the first thing I thought, and how bad could it be. Did some research, and decided that any version of the V8 was a no-go so the 650 or M6 was out. This car was available from 2012 -2018 and was available as a two or four door coupe. I wanted the 4 door for the extra room. I looked at the few that were for sale in my area. It's not that common of a body style, and most of the ones that I found were 100K+ miles and just beat up and had neglected maintenance. One finally popped up on my search feed, a 2013 version with only 39K miles. Good news/bad news... the car looked to be in great shape, but had been sitting for nearly a year. It had 2 previous owners, and the last owner put less than 2,300 miles a year. These cars do not do well sitting and usually oil and coolant leaks will start. I knew I was buying a wallet draining car, but couldn't get past the way it looked. Sold my daily driver Mercedes coupe, and brought this home. So far since March, I've changed the oil and coolant, accessory belt and tensioner, speed sensors, plugs, coils, main AGM battery, rear electronic struts, and had to take it to a BMW specialist for a full software update. Paint had a texture feel to it, and it needed a few clay bar treatments to pull all of the contaminates out of the paint. Interior was near mint, but the leather needed some love. I'm waiting on the Blackstone oil report to see if I need to do rod bearings. I have around $5K in parts and labor that I couldn't do. Some things are pretty silly, like $100 to code the rear shocks to the car with the electronic ride control. Next up will be the electronic water pump, high and low pressure fuel pump, and collecting the various gaskets that are bound to leak. I did add a few go fast things to increase the HP and torque. I replaced the plastic charge pipe with aluminum, air intake, and and MHD stage 2 tune. Surprisingly, I do not have a single picture of the car on my phone. I need to fix that and post some. |

1970 Triumph GT6+, bought it 1989 while overseas with the Army, shipped it home and tore it almost completely apart to "restore" it. Then it sat from 1993 until 2010 in various storage locations across NY, until I bought a house with my first garage. I nursed back together and was driving it for a few years and the transmission quit.
Been sitting again for years.... I keep messing around with other projects (trucks) and never focus on it. |

Was Hot stuff back in the mid to late 2000's numerous Fun Ford weekends and World Ford Challenge races, numerous guys that race now on Street Outlaws. Back in the single power adder days and non intercooled for wild street and renegade classes.
Attached File The way it sits now Attached File Been waiting to get the car back out and up to new reg's. Have a Procharged Coyote ready to go but still looking for a decent 6r80 to rebuild for it. Could do a glide, but it isn't the 80's and 90's anymore. Want a over drive and be able to cruise it with my son. The Art Carr trans in it is out dated as well. As is the car as a whole is out dated. I have a 17' Mustang GT on my lot with a supercharger that dyno'd 710 to the tire and you can literally drive it anywhere, full a/c, and listen to XM radio. No shutting off injectors to start it because they are so large, no metering before the forced induction. This is almost the hot rod days I wished I grew up in. The power levels are just crazy. The other project is at least driveable although in the middle of a Fuel Injection swap... Attached File |

78 MB 300CD (diesel coupe)
Bought from the original owner in Altoona, PA in 2009. Sat unregistered from 1996 until I bought it. Brought a battery and a bunch of fuel filters. Made it home. Needed a bunch of random stuff and fresh paint. The original owner tried doing the head gasket and replacing the trans himself. He put a turbo head on a non turbo 617, and put a vacuum controlled 722 4-speed automatic from a gas engine in it, then wondered why it wouldn’t shift out of 2nd gear. I ran a vac line from the trans through the firewall and used it like a straw — in my mouth — for the drive home. Doors were rusty beyond anything I’ve seen on a W123 Mercedes’. Coupe doors are very expensive. Hell, everything on a 123 coupe is expensive. And impossible to find. Car was done and ready for paint. Had it parked in GF’s spare garage when we broke it off in 2011. I went to get it a few days later and it wasn’t there. I didn’t see that car again for 10 years. I found it sitting behind a mechanic’s shop, outside, uncovered the whole time. Ex had thrown what appeared to be a floor jack through both windshields. I made the guy an offer and bought it back for $600 — which is what I paid for it originally. Yeah that’s right, I bought the same car twice even though I never sold it. Ex forged my name on the title, had one of her friends notarize it, put it in her name, and sold it. I still had a shelf in the shop with all the trim pieces, hoping I’d find it one day. It runs and drives as it should, and should be on the road next summer, sporting new glass and fresh paint. There will be a thread with pics going all the way back to ‘09 when it’s done. Edit: sp |

1974 dodge d200 crew cab that was a 2wd/727/318 that I swapped to a 360/4 speed manual/4wd using parts from an 86 w250.
It's drivable but not great. I built the front section of the rear driveshaft at home and it needs new tires. It's been used to haul firewood and stuff to the dump. To get it to where I'd be really happy with it, I will have to pull the body back off of the frame and clean it up and do a bunch of work to to the body and interior. If I go that far, I'll probably look into swapping the body onto a newer 2500 or 3500 frame and running gear. I'm not sure if I'll actually tear back into it again. |

Quoted: Here's my 73 mach1 rustbucket. I've had it 20+yr. Mechanically, just about everything is new or replaced. Interior is original and in decent shape, not great. Crate 351W, edlebrock intake, holley 4 barrel, underdrive pulleys, headers, rebuilt transmission with a shift kit, aluminum radiator with electric fans, total control coil over suspension, and redone brakes, bearings, fuel tank, steering gear, bushings, etc. Sadly, the body is pretty far gone. I had ordered a bunch of dynacorn sheet metal last year. 10 months later, it never shipped, so I just canceled it. In order to do the body right, it will cost more than the car is worth. I could buy a body in good shape for less. So the plan for now is just drive it like it is and enjoy it. I dont have to worry about babying it or putting the first, second or third scratches in it. Dart based 331 66 mustang
380whp, sniper EFI, t5 conversion, electric water pump, power steering, coilovers all corners, 3 link with wattslink, full floating 9in 3.5 with trutrack, 13in 2 piece discs with 4 piston calipers on all 4 corners. Under heavy breaking the rear does not lift, whole car just squats. 1/2 a car worth of Dynacorn sheet metal in the garage hoping to send to bodywork this winter after my quarter panels, seats, harness bar comes in. Will minitub to fit 275s in the rear and possibly pull front fenders to get 275s up front but may be stuck with 245s. Currently running 225/45-17s and the car can corner just as well as my 2015 GT Perf Pack. Probably stomp it in the 1/4 mile as well, should be around a low 12second 1/4. Just put 100 miles on it the other day going up into hills for lunch and back. Cruising at near 80mph the entire time and got 16.6 mpg. |
