The US Supreme Court has been historically silent on the Second Amendment. The recent Texas decision/appeal has affirmed RKBA as an INDIVIDUAL right.

Maybe Ashcroft might do something during his term in office. He's talked about a "study" of "gun violence." Perhaps his "study" will reveal that crime goes down when citizens are free to carry. That Brady does little to stop criminals fromb buying guns, that "assault weapon" bans are functionally pointless.
