I ate shit on one of those Bird scooters in Puerto Rico. Made it all the way back to the hotel & the sun had just gone down. Went to cross the street & blam…massive pothole

When I was in the army in Germany we do these little "stress" tests…they'd work out to about 100 miles over 3 days. Most of it was on hard-ball due to being in Germany and I used to dream of having one if these….or helium balloons that I could tie to my ruck and take 20 or 30 foot bounding steps.

 I used to have this one. It would do about 36 mph, had a 52v battery, and had a motor front and rear. The wheels were 10" or so over the treads. It really was a lot of fun but it was also very unstable at those high speeds. Like others have said, those wheels are just too small for those kind of speeds and another MAJOR flaw IMO with these is the steering on ALL of them has absolutely zero trail, they have NO desire to go in a straight line. You're constantly fighting it, and if you take even one hand off the bars you're probably going down. I replaced it with an Ebike with identical performance and have never looked back. |

small tires suck on any vehicle, pebble, crack in pavement your going down. just get a small motorcycle or electric bike with 18 inch tires.
