I have been called a Nazi more than once by liberals (one was a useless Scottish immigrant, who thinks he's morally superior, but don't they all).

Why is it that these people call us (conservatives) Nazis, when in fact they most resemble Nazis, and we are the Liberals (At least I am)?

A Nazi was a member of the National Socialist Party in Germany from the late 20's to the mid 40's (give or take). National Socialists believe in a lot of the things today's Democrats stand for (government control over industry etc). In addition, the Nazis used "racial purity" as an excuse to marginalize and eventually disenfranchise and murder Jews. The Democrats use "racial diversity" as an excuse to marginalize and persecute whites (and Blacks, Hispanics or Asians who show conservative tendancies). Nazi Brownshirts disrupted political rivals' rallies and beat and murdered their supporters. Liberal activists disrupt speeches of conservatives like Ann Coulter and David Horowitz, threatening violence and shouting down opposing opinions, just like the Nazis once did.

The use of Liberalism in politics is even more warped. Liberalism used to stand for the pursuit of economic and personal freedoms, secured by the rule of law. Liberals used to believe that it was the governments job not to make people happy, but only to enable the conditions in which they themselves could pursue happiness. In other words, "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". Since when did Liberalism (which still, at it's core, means freedom) become the label of the Socialists, who advocate government control over all things economic, as well as thought (WTF is a hate crime anyway?) and over our private property? (Just try to dump some dirt into a swampy area on your own land)

I thought this was a great country. All the tools are there, but now that the Senate is in the hands of the left-wing of the US Socialist Party, I really worry. Not that the Republicans are any better, every infringement of the Constitution in the past 20 years has been bi-partisan. Democrats want activist judges, and make it sound as if anyone who actually might follow the Constitution is a closet wife-beater, a racist and maybe a pedophile. In a climate like that, what can we say about the Federal situation that can make us feel optimistic.

Sorry all, I'm just depressed and not too hopeful. I think it all started about 2 years ago when they finally banned all "assault weapons" here in the PRK. Then this Jeffords fiasco (what a lying, thieving pussy) just when I was starting to feel good about the government. Then today, after reading about the FN FiveseveN (and really wanting one) discovering it is illegal for a citizen (I mean serf) to own.

Ah crap, I'm going to bed. Maybe I should go to the range tomorrow. That'll make me happy. Gee, I hope I remember to secure my evil assault weapon in a government approved fashion so I don't get arrested on a technical violation on my way to the range! Better remember to carry the registration papers too....

The FN five-seven is illegal for anyone to own.  Law enforcement cannot own them, and our military has not adopted it.  As far as I know it is in the NATO trial period to be adopted in the future.  It will not be imported to the U.S. because the cartidge it fires uses a armor piercing bullet.

If I am wrong someone correct me.

A man who used to work with us (retired now) had numbers from a concentration camp still imprinted in his arm.....he never used ethnic terms in descriptions of others, even when he was seriously pissed!......(just a side note).........[smoke]
