The fact that they are basically upside down from how you would normally put stickers on a lid since they are put against a wall shows that he did it knowing it would be against a window that was in view of a customer area. Poor taste for a business unless its a Harley shop and a tattoo parlor is the waiting area.

Earn those stickers. Buying a pack off Amazon and throwing them on is gay. |

Quoted: I really could care less. Can the guy fix my car? Or is he just going to make shotgun type guesses as to what's wrong, replace a bunch of stuff that's not broken, break something else in the process and leave bolts and covers off when he tries to tell me he fixed the vehicle (and it's still broken)? I took my wife's jeep to get the oil changed on Dec 31 (I had a dr appointment in town - that's how I remember). I decided to be the good husband and get this done for her. Yesterday, I decided to change the oil at home and popped the hood. The little plastic cowling that you have to remove to change the oil? Yeah, it's gone. $120 to change the oil and they didn't even put the cover back in the vehicle. Yeah! Go team! I bet he has great stickers on his tool box. Yeah I can picture that guy, probably not going to let him work on my stuff for all the reasons stated here. Basis: 10 years working as an aircraft mechanic, and having to work with guys like that.
Then there's the Snap-On douche with all the "don't ask to borrow" "I invest in precious metals" stickers... but at least he usually won't cross thread things, and leave off parts when he's done. He can work on my stuff. Also Little Pony can work on my stuff. |

Quoted: You turn wrenches, you’re not performing brain surgery. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Never cared to ruin my box, tacky and doesn't give a professional look. You turn wrenches, you’re not performing brain surgery. That’s not the theory of management for the the last 10-15 years at any high volume dealer. They believe a shop should look like a surgical floor and be spotless and prestige at all times. They want a customer to be able to walk in and feel like they are not paying enough for the privilege of having their car in our shop. It’s stupid. 10 years ago the dealer lawyer went around and made everyone take down the snap on and Matco pinup calendars we get from the tool trucks. These aren’t any where near revealing. This is why there is a big push for dealers to have built in tool boxes supplied by the dealer. Do everything matches and it looks perfect. Then they turn around and try and sell it as a benefit to the techs because they don’t need a tools box. The dumb ones sell their tool box making it harder to leave when that shop has a pos manager who wants to bash on techs. I am not s fan of stickers on boxes at all just a personal preference. But it’s my box and my choice. I can tell you that that box wouldn’t be visible from an customer area like that in my shop. At least throw a fender cover over it being against the window. Luckily all the windows to the shop from customer areas were removed years ago. |
