Quoted: A school for only 2nd to 4th graders? I’ve never heard of elementary schools like this. View Quote My local school has three campuses. I am not sure of the exact grades but I believe the first is K-2, second is 3-5 and the last campus is 6-8. I know for sure that the 6-8 grades are in one building thanks to the bond issue that is funding the rebuilding of the school. |

Thought school was out. It is here, all the little kids are playing in the road now.

Quoted: How in the bloody hell does anyone NOT known get into a school during hours. At my kid's school in 'the country' we have secured two-way verbal challenge and access. Once inside you walk through a bullet-proof mantrap. I get it, it's sad we have to have such things but damn this isn't rocket science. Never mind the whole people doing illegal shit to begin with. Quoted: How does anyone get into a school these days? I live in Flyover Indiana and you can't though the door without being let in. The gym doors are even that way. View Quote Same here. Except there’s been times when I was doing Watchdog Dads duty and found someone’s keys left swinging in the outside door lock. Keys to every single lock in the school, just left outside. |

I used to live in a big city in CA and by the time I escaped, all the elementary schools and middle schools had been converted to K - 8, because of overcrowding from illegals and anchor babies. The last school that was built, before I left, enrolled 950 students and 890 were non-English speaking. |

Quoted: This, it's impossible to get into the schools here without being let in. View Quote Unless schools have been fortified substantially, it’s as easy as breaking out one of many glass doors or windows. That’s how the shooter at Sandy Hook entered. Locked glass doors don’t do anything. At my kids school, while access is controlled there are literally 5 entrances all with locked glass doors not including classroom windows. |

I have family in Uvalde. Little cousins that would be in 2-4th grade in that school. Calling family to see if they know anything yet.
