View Quote Here is the problem with that mentality. Enemies will just pay off our politicians to surrender. But if we keep our hands in many different places, the foreign governments pay off our politicians to do stuff for them. It's better to keep the world paying off our politicians so they dont sell us out too fast because of competing governments. I mean they are selling us out already, but at least we can have a chance with a distributed military force instead of concentrated in the USA. The best case scenario is that Washington DC falls to a stray nuke from a regional conflict with another nuke player playing the other side. |

We should help Ukraine form a foreign legion by sending every fighting aged male crossing our border illegally on a flight to Kyiv as a conscript for the Ukrainian military where they can earn Ukrainian citizenship defending Ukraine's borders.

But if we let Russia roll through Ukraine, our NATO Allies in Eastern Europe are next. Then what? It's more than that. This article points out that we apparently never intended to honor the agreement but I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that the Ukrainians thought differently or we wouldn't be talking about it today. Not that we have much credibility left, but this is going to call into question anything we say under this admin or the next. https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2016/mar/23/ted-cruz/ted-cruz-wrongly-says-ukraine-gave-nukes-due-ameri/ "State Department lawyers thus took careful interest in the actual language, in order to keep the commitments of a political nature," Pifer wrote. "U.S. officials also continually used the term ‘assurances’ instead of ‘guarantees,’ as the latter implied a deeper, even legally-binding commitment of the kind that the United States extended to its NATO allies." |

Europe should build some nuclear reactors and boycott Russian Gas. We should embargo all things Russian as should the Europeans and anyone in the UN who has any backbone. But we should not fight. Any energy embargo will have dramatic impact on Russian if everyone stands by it. Of course China wont.

Spend a decade or two accomplishing nothing, waste billions of dollars we don't have, get 1000's of people killed and wounded, make defense contractors and politicians richer, than pull out and come home. Pretty much what we are good at.

Cut off all trade with the Western world. No gas, no oil, no nothing.
The Russian economy is actually smaller than Italy's and 50% of it is oil and gas. |

We should have respected the fact that Russia don't want a hostile state on her border. Now, because of inept politicians and defense contractors it's become a "thing". Tell NATO to go fuck themselves...we like Asia better.

DNC shills are beating the war drums against Russia probably at the behest of handlers that are cutouts for the CCP - it would be ideal for China if the US is distracted when they decide to move on Tawain. Quoted: I say sell them weapons, force a bloody war using advisors, and split the country 80% Ukraine NATO accepted /20% Russia so they can save face and not launch stupid nukes. Better yet, sit down and figure out exactly what Russia wants - I doubt it's the whole Ukraine. Give them the Ethnic Russian portion, pay to relocate anyone wanting to stay in the Nation of Ukraine. Then explain to Ukraine to grow the fuck up and be glad they kept some sovereignty. Had they spent the last 30 years building a functional government, economy and military this would not have happen. Mark it up as poor planning on carving up the Soviet Union. Money saved by avoiding this war could set up anyone displaced for life. This should also be a cautionary tale the US and our South West. |

Putin and Russia are so eerily similar to Hitler and Germany in the mid to late 1930's it is uncanny. many countries went along with appeasing the German megalomaniac and that only made a bad problem much worse. what is so wrong with some people that they admire and worship thugs and tyrants?
