I go to the gym because I’m not afraid of people. I also have a gym in the basement but I’m selling the equipment. Real gym is better

Much of the living room of my 1br apt is home gym.
I need to get a stand for my mountain bike so I can make it a stationary bike in colder months. Quoted: I go to the gym because I’m not afraid of people. How is a real gym better (other than you prefer to work out with other people)? Quoted: "Run, eat healthy, stay fit, die anyways" George Carlin. View Quote Fuck George Carlin. |

Quoted: Lots of wasted money. You only need one thing to get functional strength. https://www.coastalcountry.com/globalassets/catalogs/straw-hay-bale.jpg?width=540&height=540&mode=BoxPad&bgcolor=white Had a friend invite me to try out his new expensive "home gym" that he paid $6,000 for. He threw on 4 plates on a bench press and I lifted it 3 times. I weight 145 at the time. He couldn't believe it so I explained functional strength to him. View Quote No doubt that “farm strong” is a real thing. But for those of us who don’t own or work on a farm, a home gym will have to suffice. |

Quoted: I would get a gym membership, but I'm afraid the government might close gyms in a vain effort to stop the spread of a disease that kills fat people. Oh, wait. Why pay a membership and have to drive somewhere to work out, if you can do it at home? |

Rogue rack and bench with a Concept 2 rower and some Nuobells.
I like working out. I hate gyms. I hate getting my shit together and driving to them, I hate their hours, I hate waiting or sharing equipment and I hate the weirdos at them. Some of the best money I've ever spent. Attached File |

This thread makes me wish I had more space.
I’ve got a single car garage half filled with crap and two motorcycles. The other half is a Rogue RML 490C, a few cerakoted barbells, Rogue bench, a plate tree with more weight than I can lift and a few dumbbells. I’m really crammed in there but it gets used all the time and it gets the job done. |

I started my home gym last week, smith machine works great and have a set of Core fitness adjustable dumbbells and about 270 lbs in weight so far.
