The one where he saves some of the crazy Christians edges out the last one.
Rambo was a pussy in the first one. He wastes all his ammo on the guard guys. He freaks about some rats and he cries at the end. |

Anything that simultaneously shits on commies and domestic bureaucrat scum is guaranteed to be epic. That's called pandering to pre-existing stereotypes. Easy to do, and I admittedly miss the days when Hollywood was eager to pander to me more so than the woke crowd, but it be what it be. |

First Blood is the OG GOAT, but they're all entertaining and have their own charm to them.
I could certainly think of a worse way to spend an afternoon besides a 12 pack and some Rambo movies. |

Rambo: There wouldn't be no trouble except for that king-shit cop! All I wanted was something to eat, but the man kept pushing sir.
Trautman: Well, you did some pushing on your own John. Rambo: They drew first blood, not me. Trautman: Look Johnny, let me come in and get you the hell out of there! Rambo: They drew first blood... [signs off] |

FPNI, uncanny. Second one for second place because it summed up a time period and genre.

I love all of the Rambo flicks.
my favorite is 2, I saw it in the theater at Ft Hood. The absolutely best theater experience I ever had. after the National Anthem and the movie started, the theater blew up with barking, howling and other noises GIs make when excited. When we got to the Murdock, I'm coming for you scene, OMG, the theater rocked so bad. Barking screaming, seats were being pounded it was insane. Only to be topped by the firing of the LAW from inside the downed Huey. BARKING and SCREAMING! fucking amazing experience. So now, so many years later... every time it is on, I watch and smile the whole time. That theater experience will never be replicated. What a fun time. you had to be there; Rambo 2 is a fun ride. The momma of 80s action flicks. |

I'd just read both books too. |

it's awfully hard to beat the original
although there is some good stuff in the others. nothing like seeing commies decimated by their own creation, the DShK |

I cannot wait for hollyweird to revamp Rambo with some woke female playing the lead, if only to see the meltdown here.

The original movie "First Blood" was the only one that made sense. The rest were made to sell Gil Hibben fantasy knives to all the mall ninjas.

1 is the best but I enjoy 4 the most. I refuse to acknowledge that there were more than 4 made.

I think you could easily rank them in order of appearance, but I really liked 3 and Rambo (2008).

The 1st one is excellent the 4th one is pretty good as well. Those are the only two Rambo movies that I would watch again if they were on TV for free.
The 2nd and 3rd are pretty meh but I would probably give the edge to 2nd over 3rd. I don't regret watching 2 or 3 but I wouldn't bother to ever watch either again even for free. The 5th Rambo is hot garbage and and a sad ending to the franchise. I think the only big action blockbuster franchise with a potentially worse final movie may be the 5th Die Hard movie set in Russia and even then its a toss up between the last Rambo and the last Die Hard.......and that is saying a lot seeing how bad some of the last terminator, lethal weapon, predator, etc. movies turned out. |

First Blood.
Rambo wiped out the Sheriff's department, outwitted a NG unit and could have destroyed the town. |
