I just traded a co-worker a $8 used book on airplanes for a S&W .44 mag.

Kind of a good deal, eh?

:)

LOL, not that I know of...

He just never shot it, so I told him he should give to me and I'd give it a good home.

That's the problem, he has too many to shoot as it is.  He won't even miss it...

If he's got a bunch of guns, he knows the value of them and is very unlikely to give them away, unless he is a very generous friend.  In that case, you should start buying more used books. [:D]

Ask him if he'll take an old copy of "The Hobbit" for a Kimber.

Here's the deal.  I can get him any book he wants for any gun he is willing to give.  I have this thing called a library card...

Why don't I believe this story? Why do I find

Do you doubt the kindness of your fellow man?

Ok, here's the whole story:  A while back I was pestering him to sell me the gun.  He said he didn't want to sell it, but I was welcome to borrow it.  (I wanted for hikes.  Bears out here.)  I said that would be fine.  Today I brought in a book and he wanted it.  He said, "I will trade you the .44 for this book."  I said, "Deal"

P.S.  He wrote his name in the book, so there is no going back now :)

Was the book preban?  If so, he got the better deal.

Did you go through a FLL (Federal Library Liscencee.)?

Man, I see legal problems written all over this deal.

Make sure you wiped your fingerpronts off the book....
