My oldest son has MS and a young daughter so I know the emotion. I'm hoping he will be around for her a few more years. Wish I could donate but I'm about to get axed over this mandate BS. Can't even renew my membership right now. |

I had forgotten I had the gofund me in a tab, and when I had last checked it was at 33k.
Its amazing that people have been so generous and donated like it was going out of style. Its great to see the gun community standing together, and I was really bummed that I missed the lower, but also glad to see the it sold so quickly. Donating all 200 is a power move that I'm sure won't be forgotten by their old, and new customer base. Way to be guys.

MS is a presumptive condition if dx'ed while in service or within 7 years of being discharged honorably https://www.va.gov/MS/Veterans/Benefits/What_Are_My_VA_Benefits_for_Multiple_Sclerosis.asp
I am not sure his details (when he got out) but if within the window the VA will many times expedite an evaluation. My brother and I both have MS, I was dx'ed 10 years after I got out so couldn't get it presumptive, my brother got it right after he was discharged and the VA rushed the case through and is 90% disabled now... FWIW his relapses being significant this early on would qualify him for HSCT (chemo and non-myleoblative cell transplant) or other clinical trials in the US. My brother was in the trial at Northwestern with Dr. Burt but that trial ended, I went to Europe for mine since it is standard of care for aggressive MS but based on peer data is one of the better options. I've been in remission for 6 years now.... Fuck MS, will at least throw some coin his way. |

There are qualifications that need to be met, he or his family can do some research but this is not a pipe dream type study, it's legit treatment with a lot of peer data that back this up. Saved my ass even though I went overseas (which would also be an option for him). |
