I can't help you with the price because I don't have any colt flat-tops but if it has a flash supressor it is pre-ban which does add a good bit to the value. Sorry I can't help you out on the price.

Not quite...no box, etc....that may not be the original upper. This is not a simple question.
There's a whole lot more to it than "has flash suppressor, it's a pre-ban" |

According the list at [url]http://www.biggerhammer.net/ar15/ar15serial.html[/url], serial numbers CH019500 and below are pre-ban, so this gun should definitely be one of them. As always, though, it's best to call Colt direct at 800-962-COLT and get it straight from the horse's mouth. I think that $1300 is just a little on the better side of good for this rifle. Least expensive one I've come across lately was $1400.

If you are purchasing it for an M4rgery is not bad. you already have the flatop. You just need a barrel and the telestock.

The CH stands for 'competition HBAR', and these guns were supposedly more accurate than standard HBAR's. We had four of these for our spotters for about 8 years. They were large pin, large hole, flat-top, 1 in 9 no bayonet lug. They tend to have a higher value than a regular HBAR. Lasted forever, but we went to another system. $1300 sounds like a fair price, especially when some folks are getting $1200+ for an SP1. And it's definitely pre-ban with that serial number.

This was my rifle I was going to sell but he found another to his liking. If anyone else is interested, shoot me an e-mail. I haven't posted it for sale yet but I figure I'll give you guys first dibs on it before I let it loose on the other boards.

Last 6700 that I remember selling was about a year ago and I think we got $2300 NIB I sold my own pre-ban NIB 6601 that I had for $1900 I really didn't want to sell it but we needed something to fill table space so I put a $2000 tag on it, the guy call me up offers me the $1900, works for me!
