Jackets are raising a banner for 'Kivi's memorial tonight, supposedly his family is in the country to drop the puck, cool move by the organization.

TNT's pregame show was light-years ahead of anything NBC ever did.

LGRW, got the game on now.
I don’t expect a lot but maybe 10 points more than last year. |

I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of growth from Raymond/Sieder and maybe flip Greiss or Staal at the deadline. Points wise, I'd be happy if they can finish in the middle of the division. |

This is the second hockey game I've ever seen and I'm hooked!
Release the Kraken! |

Wings lose a 7-6 slugfest in the home opener… I am trying to not be recklessly optimistic here but they seem like an actual hockey team and will surprise other clubs during the season.
They had the strength to be up 3 goals twice on the Cup champs but fell short in OT. We’ll take the point against the defending Cup champs. |

Pens drop OT game VS Florida. How about the Habs starting off 0-2 after last year's run.

Pens thrashing the Blackhawks 4-0 end of 1st. Kind of torn because Fleury is the goalie for Chicago now. He got run out of goal.before the end of the 1st period.

Found out this morning that NHL Center Ice isn't available on Frontier this year. I have been a subscriber to Center Ice for 12 years. Called Frontier this afternoon and canceled my TV service- $140 per month (plus the cost of Center Ice) saved. I just signed up to ESPN+ for $7 per month. Watching my Preds now.

View Quote @voodochild Murray was putting up Roy and broduer numbers his first two playoffs despite not playing full seasons or playoffs. Water found its own level. Murray's problem was he was an arrogant ass hole in addition to running a fan favorite out of town (not his fault) on that point. He couldn't take a single ounce of blame when shit went wrong. I will be suprised if Matt is still a starter afyer this contract is up in Ottawa. The book on him was out after the second cup and these guys are too good not to expose it. They should have kept fleury if for nothing else but to sale tickets but I understand why they did it and don't blame JR for doing it. Hind sight is 20-20 but much like when big Ben is gone from the steelers the pens fans have found out what not having a name sake in net is like. People can argue all they want fleury is a first ballet hof |

Wings win a physical matchup against the Canucks, 3-1. There is a ton to like about this team early on - hopefully they can keep it up.
I’m really liking the creativity, speed and grit combo these guys are showing. |

I've watched three hockey games in my life, and am really loving this sport so far.

Not NHL, but I got to watch in person hockey again. God how I missed it. Watched the baby Preds beat the baby Wings. Then found out brother was at Jackets v Kraken game. Much hockey had by all. It is great to have it back to view in person.

The League has GOT to crack down on checking from behind. This is absolute bullcrap what is going on now. For the 3rd game in a row a Wing gets absolutely crushed into the boards, No call from the refs on the guy doing the boarding, and the League is not suspending the players doing the checking, which is the toughest part for me.
Someone’s going to get really hurt. |

Wings get a fantastic 4-1 win against Columbus, only marred by the cross check that took out our rookie Raymond, who scored his first NHL goal tonight.

Go Sabres!
No idea how long they can keep this up, but what a difference between last year and this year. Goaltending will eventually crash and burn, and legs will give out on the youngsters, but fun to watch for now. One of the more exciting parts is seeing Okposo resurgence, and Girgensons being healed - hell, Jeff SKinner even scored tonight! Now if they can trade Eichel for picks and prospects, 2-3 years and we can make and compete in the playoffs. |

Agree across the board, this is fun. I mean, we’ll have to see where the slump happens and if they can all find their way out of it, so it’s not like I’m all irrationally optimistic, but through 3 games the team spirit and competition is awesome, fun to watch. |

OUTSTANDING first period for the Caps!!!!
Let's take bets on how they blow it |

My son comes out and looks at the score. Said the Caps are acting like God because they're beating the Devils

Wings get shut out last night… still a somewhat entertaining game but no biscuits in the basket at home is concerning.

Well that's convenient (again).
I guess he'll be healthy just in time for the playoffs to cheat the salary cap again... Attached File |
