I think 3 since early last year. Can't remember what month I bought my first 30-06 but I have two of them now. And I added a 6.5 Carcano and 7.7 Japanese.
I added an ak to my collection.
Was cheaper to purchase the firearm and a fuck ton of ammo than to purchase not a fuck ton of ammo for my other firearms. I can shoot it as much as I want without thinking how much every trigger pull costs me lol. Plus who hasn’t wanted a wood furniture AK at some point in their life? |
I completely divested from 300BLK, sold it all for much higher than what I paid and now I won't accidentally "eldest son" any of my other ARs.
Not the time to add new calibers for me. Better to focus on ammo for what I already have, esp. for what will be used in a SHTF. Time for fun and games are over.

None.
I was planning on buying a ton more reloading components and adding a 1911 and a revolver to the stable...well that didn't happen. |
I added 6mm Creedmoor early last year and .224 Valkyrie late last year.
I chose zero, but I did buy a bunch of .30 Carbine ammo when presented with a good deal. Still shopping for a gun, though.
Last time I added a caliber was about 3 or 4 years ago. It's my deer rifle, and I stocked up on that caliber.
I've only ever had 2 calibers 5.56 and 9mm.
I need a 308 or 6.5 for hunting. |
17wsm.
1) it is available 2) it is priced reasonably 3) it is useful as far as I normally shoot at. |
I just got a PDP. Didnt have a 9mm before that.
Last year when this was starting i got a 6.5 creedmoor. |
Added 10mm. Have always wanted to get into 10mm, found a Glock 20 for a good price and got it.

It was easier to find 10mm ammo that is cheaper than .45 ammo. |
I got rid of calibers. FNX .45, Ak's, 20ga. Just down to .22, 9mm, 5.56. Just wanted to consolidate to the most common calibers with all of the unknown that is happening anymore.

Pandemic was good to me..i had a good job and bought more gun shit since the pandemic hit than the previous 5 years combined.
Primer shortage hurt. But other than that nothing had changed my life. I added a 28ga semi auto ($200 from walmart) pre64 model 94 30-30 ($150) plus a springfield 1904 (free) Those are the only NEW calibers i have added. Bought plenty of other shit. Like a dillon 650 and extras Eta im going to be buying a 7.62x39 AR upper. That is another new caliber. |
I added .38 special as I decided to pick up a 642 after a not having a jframe for a number of years.
I know...it's my funeral. |
Not sure what you mean by "added caliber".
I've bought a shit ton of mags in calibers that I don't have ammo or guns for. Does that count? |

-2. I'm about to sell off a S&W 686 and all my 38/357 and put it towards night vision.
6mm arc since the pandemic started
450bm, 6.5G, and 6.5cm since early 2019 |
Since I already had a good collection of various cals, kinda just stayed neutral, but added more arms to the collection.
I have
22 9 223 357sig 6mmbr 308 30-06 and thats too many. Ideally would want 22 9mm 223 6.5CM |
Zero. I would have picked up .44 and either 6.5 Grendel or Creedmoor, couldn't afford it a year ago and I guess I can't afford it now either.
I added 308/7.62. Right now I'm sitting on a small pile of .357 with no gun to shoot it with and debating on if I should pick up another revolver or just sell the ammo and put that money towards 9mm or 7.62 ammo.
