Quoted: Depends on your state but, most states in the US do not allow a child under the age of 10 to be charged with a crime. View Quote That’s true. But they can be PO’ed, which forces the kid away from yours and - if they’re dumb enough to actually resist it - gets the school admins a much-needed ass-reaming from a judge. |

Quoted: You both could be correct. School sweeps it under the rug, then when the kid does something they try to throw OP's kid under the bus. Seen it happen. View Quote You’re no longer dealing with a reasonable system with public education. You are increasingly not dealing with reasonable people within it, either. You need to be the first one to go “legally kinetic” on them. And don’t go half-assed. The snowflake side has much stronger legal weapons than you do as the victim, so speed and strength of action matter. |

Forget school or teacher.
Go direct to parents for intervention. This is learned behavior the kid picked up from somewhere and possibly at home. If the father's reaction is anything less then concerned, then refer to the "True Detective - Ray Velcoro" option. |

You’re one key retirement or school board election away from a complete 180 on that. Again, voice of experience here. The one thing we have (and a lot of small towns have) is that most of the people that work there, also live in the community and have kids or grandkids that attend. It makes them actually try a little bit to keep the place decent. |

HE DREW YOU A PICTURE. "Jeremy" is a true story out of Texas. While seven is seven, like others have said, the school should be notified. There are 100's of "Jeremy's" simmering out there. 1.) Don't listen to the advice of people that don't have kids and never went to school
2.) Send your kid to school with a bullet proof west or in full battle-rattle 3.) Talk to the parents of the kid |

They're just kids, but I'd invite the man (police and child protect services & not the school) into her life.

Quoted: bad news on the first part. i'd talk to the school, if for nothing else other than documentation for later. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: We live in a nice, small, very red town, no ghetto or 'hood to be found. I grilled her pretty hard to be certain she wasn't making anything up or even embellishing it. What do?? bad news on the first part. i'd talk to the school, if for nothing else other than documentation for later. Sociopaths come in all shapes and colors. The boy sounds defective. Who knows what is causing him to act this way. Maybe some bad influence from a parent of older sibling. It’s not normal behavior. |

You gotta say something.
If you don't , it could turn out that the kid is a little sociopath and really is going to hurt someone. Then pee on him to assert dominance... obviously! |
|
Get intel on the kid's family. If they aren't trash, you may want to calmly talk to the parents. Keep the originals. Don't immediately go to the school and get the bastards from CPS involved.

Happened to us. Kid threatened my daughter and a few others. Multiple times. Once in front of a teacher.
We demanded he be moved to a different class. School declined. We showed up for a meeting with 2 attorneys. School solicitor offered a "safe space" for my daughter. We pulled both of my kids out of that school and went to a private school. 3-4 weeks later the kid threatened to take a gun to school and shoot the place up. They then did daily searches of his bags etc. I believe at one point they found a knife. He is no longer in that school. They were 10 years old at the time. He was into "Slenderman" stuff, was a real fucking tard. His parents were worse. While some might say they're just kids, that kind of shit has got to be taken seriously. |

1st grade? Tell her to punch him in the stomach. Good grief. And 7 in 1st grade?

He's 7. My daughter is also in first grade an loves to draw and has drawn some pretty morbid things. A kid in my daughter's class called her a poopy head and she drew a picture of him with X's on his eyes. Kids just aren't aware of stuff like that at that age and don't have full control of their wild emotions.
I wouldn't take it too seriously. I would get in touch with his parents and let them know. |

1. School principal
2. Head of school board 3. Local LEO's 4. Parent/s Start a paper trail so when this shit escalates no one can claim ignorance. |

I was drawing the Easter Bunny tossing grenades in 2nd grade and making pistols with Legos in kindergarten. Playing with GI Joe's was graphic too with arms and legs everywhere. |

This day and age I wouldn't be taking any chances as to who or what raised this kid and how far off he is mentally...
Could be nothing but it could be everything. Talk to the school |

My opinion is that this kid has taken it to an abnormal level. Can you imagine yourself doing this kind of thing as a child? Your kids? Nah, it's definitely out of bounds. |

View Quote My wife went in, school counselor told her the kid has some behavior issues (no kidding, really?). Someone from the school, unclear if counselor, principal or teacher, is supposed.to address this incident with the kid's parents. They're going to move this boy to another desk immediately (the kids sit at little tables of four). They're going to begin checking the kid's backpack for weapons as well. I'm satisfied for the moment. I doubt anything would have ever come of it, but I did want a paper trail at minimum. The school responded quickly and took it seriously enough to suit me, and given the special advanced class circumstances I'm not very driven to try to get the little brat kicked out completely unless there comes another issue. I was a little surprised that we got the counselor rather than a different administrator or the teacher, but my wife and kid both love this women so I'm OK with it. She was apparently pretty forthcoming about the other kid which also somewhat surprised me, but maybe part of that is the relationship she already has with my wife. Now I'm just wondering about follow-up from my standpoint - what, and when? |

Quoted: They are 7. Do nothing. View Quote That is one hell of a laugh, coming from you. Holy shit. 17yo sends titty pics to a boy and you are all "It is child porn. As I recall a 7 year old and a 11 year old lured a 6 year old to an abandoned building and murdered her in England no so long ago. Age has nothing to do with wonton evil! Get school and LE involved. When it comes to my child, I would destroy half the fucking planet to insure their safety and security!

Call the school board , the school already knows about the kid and his behavior.

Have your daughter point him out to you and make sure he sees that you see him.
