I still want to keep up with what's going on, but even the news sites are very repetitive; most of my "news" comes from AFRCOM General However, I'm not going into bunker mode. I've already planned a local ARFCOM meet in a couple weeks. I plan to get more active locally. I don't have the nuke codes, so I can't fix DC, but I can get involved locally and create a more informed and potentially active network in my AO. The reason? You may remove politics from your life, but the Socialist part in charge will force their politics into every aspect of your life, finances, kid's education, retirement plans, vacations, work, taxes, expenses, hobbies, etc. They need pushback, and it needs to be grassroots. They never were a part of my life...I just observe....I do try to keep up with any politics concerning firearms..I don’t participate but I have to at least know what goes on as far as firearms go!

Haven't removed politics from my life but I limit my time to staying up with what's going on politically. Spending hours daily here was affecting my overall peace of mind and it got depressing. I'm better off for the change.

When have they ever given a shit what anyone thinks? Giving up? No. I just don't see a point in listening to political babble. I don't give a flying fuck what AOC or any other nobody has to say. I hate politics and while I've unplugged the amount of time obsessing over it, I'm simply changing my approach. I can't affect state or national elections, but I've decided to take a more active role locally; even if it's just to help volunteer. I haven't decided on running for any local positions as it's a conflict with my current job, but that may very well be in the future. Unplugging is exactly what the Socialists want us to do. Hunker and bunker down and let them continue on their anti-American agenda. I've buried too many young Soldiers to simply ignore the direction of our country and I can at least invest some time and money to fix what I can where I live. That said, yes, my wife and I are loving life and avoiding daily political consumption. You don't want your head in the sand, it's a prime target to fucked in the ass by the Left... ROCK6 |

I stopped watching "news" years ago. Political or otherwise. I don't give a shit what some failed actors opinion is about something posted on twitter. Doesn't matter if I agree with them or not. I'm not playing the outrage game for either side.
I do pay attention to what is going on in the world and will continue to vote for all the good it does but fuck getting all wound up all the time over things that I can't change and in most cases do not impact me directly. |
