They used to have the Virginia championship canoe races in my town and champions from all over would come and compete. Dad and his trapping partner took first place two years running in the two-man race. The third year that they had them they were asked to sit out by the organizers because the out-of state champions claimed they had a unfair advantage because they knew the river better than they did.

It was funny seeing them win by a good quarter mile in a old dented-up 17' aluminum Grumman trapping canoe.

The dude is the living definition of a dweeb.

This is one of those things that when you see it, and the guy doing it , its like "Of course that fucker looks exactly like the type of guy that would do that" I mean yeah it would be out of place to see big fat bubba redneck doing it, or some gold toofed hoodrat. but it would be more shocking rather than whatever this is.

But this? Its shockingly embarrassing and at the same time when looking at the dweeb in the canoe, its not shocking that he is into it.
