View Quote Attached File That is technically a MGMC M-16(A1) They Converted "standard" M-3 halftracks by adding the Maxon Quad .50 turret in the rear.. The way you spot the difference between the two is Factory Built Original M-16 MGMC had (A) hinged top armor and (B) a PTO Wench on a longer front "brush guard type" bumper. The M-16(A1) like your image didn't have the hinged armor at the top, and usually retained the "Ditch Roller" at the front instead of the PTO Wench (a lot of work). LINK to M-16 & M-16A1 Halftracks at http://afvdb.50megs.com/usa/pics/mgmcm16.html I am 100% with you that a Halftrack with Quad .50s is Kick Ass Cool, any way you cut it... Common Big Lottery Win!! Daddy needs a Meat Chopper like that!! |

View Quote EVERYBODY wants to be a HET driver....until it's time to bust tires, or lubricate the winches, or hit all 87,000 grease points on the trailer, or change inner trailer tires, or drive the god damn thing on the autobahn with a tank on the back at a whopping 15 MPH max speed while every German and their uncle is screaming at you and making funny hand gestures. <---------------123RD MSB, HET PLT, Dexheim, Germany. 06-08. |
