I worry that the prices are a trap set by the Saudis to put another nail in the coffin of the US oil industry. There’s not a lot of reason for the Saudis to unilaterally cut production again. After some of the largest production cuts in history. Then warn US of this oil producers not to get back into the game. |

Quoted: I could be mistaken, but his will mostly effect offshore, Colorado, and Alaska. Should not effect Texas all that much as most of our drilling is on privately owned or state land - we don't have much federal land for him to fuck with (other than offshore, and even most of that drilling was in Texas water - but killed by Obama. I want to assume Alaska is the vast majority of the US production on Federal land - most of it is shipped over seas as it is more economical to export it to Japan and import from Mexico or even the Middle east than to transport it to US refineries. I assume this mostly will fuck Japan and increase the world crude oil price marginally. View Quote Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah will take a hit. Although Colorado was screwed from within by the dem led Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, when they implemented horrendous new set-back rules. |

Quoted: But muh bumpstocks and he was so unpresidential! He couldn’t change the entire global power structure by himself in 4 years! Doesn’t that sound like the ridiculous caterwauling and manipulation that it always was? We’ve even got one of them a few posts up, undermining trump all the time and then complaining about the results they pushed for. Despicable. View Quote I'm not going to debate the anti Trump rhetoric, because I myself grew more and more disappointed with him through the years. However, being anti-Trump does not automatically make you pro-Biden. I didn't want Trump in office, I wanted an actual small government individual liberty guy. In the end, Trump was just a slower train to the same destination that Biden has us speeding towards. Trump was never going to be small government or pro individual liberties, it just wasn't what he cared about. Anyone with half a brain could see he cared more about international policy and, when he could be bothered to care, was generally "conservative" on some homefront items, but he didn't work tirelessly to fix us. |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Eh, just fed land. Good point, maybe. I literally have no idea. Who's land does most oil production come from? Any oil people want to chime in? Here are the facts. Oil companies are not stupid, they have drilling permits that will last at least 4 years. Most Federal land is in, NV, WY,SD, NM. About 2.2 million BOED. So if they kill fed leases forever, then that will be +2.2 million gone. XL pipeline was going to pump 800K BOD. All the state lands and private will continue. However, if they ban fracking on federal land then all production including NG will be gone on Federal land. Some act like it's a nothing but, it is a huge amount of production and future production on Federal land. NM has a huge reserve of untapped oil as well as SD. Now, all off shore is Federal land. That is a lot of production. This is 2017 stats but will give you an idea: #2 and #3 will be reduced greatly. https://www.statista.com/statistics/714376/crude-oil-production-by-us-state/ Also, regarding capacity and price. Oil companies are not stupid. They drill the wells but, don't complete the wells when prices are low. These high volume horizontal wells died when they were shut in bc of covid. They may be able to clean them up or restimulate the wells. Realize that some of these big wells only last at most 6-10 months. I don't think most people realize the huge amount of oil in the Delaware. It could never be produced conventually. It is Saudia Arabia huge. |
