I have to laugh at you dudes from other states dissing Cruz. WTF are you doing in your own states? You are responsible for your own.
I can tell you that the vast majority of Texans respect and appreciate Cruz. How we let that asshole Cornyn get through the primary this year is unbelievable. We thought we had no choice but to vote for him during the general because of the motorcycle-riding, army helicopter pilot bitch running for the Democrats. In retrospect, we should have let her win and we'd be done with Cornyn. It is unforgivable to give him another 6 years . . . just like McConnell . . . but McConnell was not my responsibility. |

They are all the same Trump showed the truth. I am done with both parties unless the current crop of rhinos is replaced. I hope Trump starts his own party so can vote 3rd party. I asked my senator why she backed down yet is on social media talking about how she is the wall now it’s pathetic and rather insulting her voters intelligence. Quoted: Positioning himself for 2024. I think he plans to take a page from Trump's book, but put his own spin on it. Polish it up if you will. View Quote I'm actually okay with that. NO ONE will ever be as Trump as Trump is. Even though DJT changed the political landscape forever, we are now in a post-Trump world where we get to watch MAGA diluted a thousand different ways. If even one presidential candidate signs on to 1/10th of what Trump was about I'll be pleasantly surprised. |

Quoted: Holy hell, is there anyone we dont hate? From what I have seen of Cruz the past 2-3 years, I am starting to like him more. View Quote No, defeatist attitudes are cancer. Conservatives love to be right, they love to stand up and say “well AcKtuChuaLLY” all while giving ground to leftist by not participating. He isn’t perfect, but he is still there, still a thorn in the side, still willing. I’m over the political perfectionist bullshit that permeates this site, the left will hitch their wagon to whatever horse will get them there and influence the horse along the way. We aren’t touching the horse because his back left shoe was put on be a different farrier than the others, so we sit and bitch. People bitch about Trump because was a centrist and not a conservative, a conservative steps up at an inauguration where the media is referring to the other side as fucking insurrectionist and we still bitch. Bunch of spoiled ass kids |

A politician is gonna do politician things, no surprise there. Is he pandering? Sure, but he's also one of the few people in congress right now who is going to be willing to say unpopular things and represent the people who are overnight "extremists". I'm very disappointed in the way things have played out, and with the loud bark with no bite from all of our conservative politicians, but don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

Quoted: Quoted: Well, the reaction is the one thing you can always count on from GD. I absolutely hate politicians, but he's one of the ones I hate less. We don't have many choices right now, at least as far as solid, staunch, conservative politicians go. I certainly didn't appreciate him calling the capitol protestors "terrorists"...wrong perhaps, but not actual terrorists. I wrote him an email blasting him for that which I'm sure kept him up that night. I also gave him kudos for remaining to stand for the challenge of the EC...at least he didn't wilt there like many other republicans after the protest. Those bashing on him should come up with some better alternatives...or...get your Fixed thank you....there is a difference |

You know what I like? I like fireworks. Firecrackers, bottle rockets, mortars, hell I even like roman candles.
I don't like sparklers though. They're not really fireworks even though you get them at a fireworks stand and their packaging claims fun and excitement. They just sort if fizz amd shine and sure they sparkle and make smoke. They kind of look like something's happening. But it's always just such a let down. About the only real excitement you get once you're past about 6 years old out of them is when you get burned by them because you didn't watch them close enough. |

Quoted: Don't disagree with you but members of this own site need to do just that. Be honest now, do you wear a mask where you're asked to? Have you ever? If we're going to hold Ted to a standard, will we all follow it? If you have to fly, are you going to say "no, you have to throw me off the plane?" View Quote I wear a mask when I am going into a private business that is going to be fined and possibly shut down by my liberal county health department, if they let me in without one. Outside, driving in the car, picking up my kid at school, HELL NO I don't wear a mask. I am also a lowly citizen, not a US Senator and don't have the power or platform that comes with the position. The masks I do wear are the cheapest option I could find, they're not bedazzled with words and fancy slogans trying to signal to the peasants the virtue of the wearer. |

Cruise has always been upfront about his pro second amendment stance. One man cannot do it alone. He need all of us to stand behind him and beside him otherwise we're going to lose our ass

Ted Cruz has been one of the few that have been at the front of the pro second amendment fight. He is fought for a second amendment rights and he's fought for the president I don't believe that makes him a chihuahua. He stood and thought when nobody else would.

Get the sticks out of your asses, he is one of the (very few) good guys we have left. View Quote Yep. Unlike Trump, who continually pandered to the pro-2A crowd while taking shit away, Cruz has a proven pro-2A background. There's no question that there are a lot of spineless RINOs who unashamedly pander for votes though. Already, we've seen the ones who never pushed for a SINGLE pro-2A thing when we held the Presidency, House and Senate, NOW proposing pro-2A shit. |

What is worse than the oblivious pandering is that he's going for Trump's base who are the very people needed to cut the gop off at the knees. If the gop won't listen then they need to feel.

Take what? Your liberty? Looks like they already have most of it, and they're coming for the rest. |

He is still under the illusion that the system can be fixed. As long as he believes this he must abide by the rules of that system. The system requires investigation to gather evidence, then prosecution of that evidence. We had the evidence but it was not in a form that could be digested by the system. He was trying to set up the investigation to get the evidence on record and was cock blocked by his rabble rousing allies who believe the system is broken and that they could change it by running into the capitol in a buffalo costume.
He did everything he could in his position as a US Senator, he will have my vote until he leaves public office. |

I'm disappointed he showed up at all. The message he wore barely registers above the virtue signal it was embroidered on.
He is among the best we have in the Senate, and that's disappointing. |

Both sides are heavily invested in keeping their bases stirred up. It's time we saw though this BS and started voting for those who will do what we want them to, then holding them to that when the Dems come to their rescue.

Quoted: Wow. I'm surprised at the responses. I thought it was a fairly decent if somewhat 'meh' act of defiance. View Quote Those responses are from the aforementioned chihuahuas that will be barking ferociously from the porch. They will denigrate every action, every speech, every written word of resistance as impotent jibber jabber because they themselves are impotent and gutless cowards. I think the big brains call it "projection" or something like that. I think him wearing that sends a very potent warning and encouragement. As long as he follows it up with action. |
