Quoted: You must be an absolute blast at parties. We all know that hunting is always balls to the wall action, with no time for other activities. We’ve been there, we get it. Remember, a large part of the adventure is getting where you are going, and not always the place where you are. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Odd, of the 100s of dead stuff pics I have very few of just the scenery. I suspect that had to do with paying more attention to the task at hand (hunting/fishing) than admiring the scenery. Photos were for after the hunt. You must be an absolute blast at parties. We all know that hunting is always balls to the wall action, with no time for other activities. We’ve been there, we get it. Remember, a large part of the adventure is getting where you are going, and not always the place where you are. Meh, I've been told I'm entertaining. There were times I admired the scenery but did not think it impotant enough to take a pic of. I guess it was just the way I was taught to hunt. I never really messed with fish pics. None of that catch and release bullshit either. The bottom line is that you can either fuck around with gadgets, be otherwise distracted, or pay attention, you can't have it both ways. Sure it gets boring but I'll tell you this, I missed damn little game moving anywhere around me and in truth "paying attention" is more draining than some think. Oh the game might not have been in position for a shot but I generally knew they were there. Very little of that "the game sneaked up on me" crap.....Sorry but it "sneaked up on you" because you did not have your mind on the task at hand. Everyone has been there at times. |

Quoted: Just finished up a late season cow hunt. Skunked, but still a great time. Check out this old cow camp I found on public land. I could have stayed in there, just a few mice to kick out. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/857/F71E68CE-80D3-4E27-8E70-EB089B8F71EF_jpe-1790372.JPGhttps://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/857/A2C37BD3-96F8-46EB-8909-936DFC9D85B0_jpe-1790373.JPGhttps://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/857/D3413174-8E65-47B2-B3EF-BDB7E875F69A_jpe-1790374.JPG Stayed here instead. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/857/6468A7EE-FFCA-4393-84C4-27C883FA99F8_jpe-1790378.JPG View Quote @DVCER Seek outside 8 man? These are great pictures, thank you everyone for posting them.
As, can you put a spot on the pic where the elk was dropped? |

Pretty nice tent, it was 20 degrees inside when I would wake up, 10 outside. Fire up the stove and heated up quick. The stove is as compact and light as you would imagine, but I’m going to look for a more conventional one, or try my wall tent stove. The titanium seek stove works, don’t accidentally kick it . This one might be too big. Attached File Seek XL Attached File It was damn cold, but this stuff is very thin titanium. Attached File |
