Pads on grip are placed so I can put a lot of down pressure on the grip but if needed use the IR or light momentarily. I'll never be convinced keeping white light or IR on when on foot is a good idea. |

I thought this might be a challenge to singer Bono.
I am disappointed. |

You have much more than I can imagine- most here have much more that damn unicorns makes more sense to me.

Ditch the kevlar for a bump helmet. You get shot in the head you fucked anyway.
Ditch the scar for 10.5" AR-15 unless you are in mostly open terrain. Ditch the rambo knife for something 1/4 the size. Add quick attach suppressor to vest. Add camelback. I don't know what's in the side pouches but try squeezing through a tite area like that. Otherwise you are fairly well equipped. |

Pretty solid set up.
I’m assuming the pouches have some EMS stuff, etc. A suppressor would make a nice cherry on top of kick ass sundae. I can’t tell, but am assuming the sliding is a rapidly adjustable two point like a Vickers/blueforce or vtac. Looks like if you dump the plate carriers you still have some ammo. I would put a smaller knife offside on the barrel belt. |

Quoted: I'd still take a lightweight AR any day of the week. What if you have to patrol for over 24 hours? That heavy 762 bastard is going to kill you from fatigue. Don’t get me wrong, ARs are great and lightweight but we can Pro and Con every firearm to death like how many rounds will be needed to defend one self with 5.56 vs .308? There are plenty of people who have carried 7.62 rounds in combat and did it for more than 24 hours. 10.5 inch barreled ARs excel at ONE particular thing. Sweeping ships quarters. Out in the woods? Fuck that, there are way better options. Not everything is CQB and with that the last thing you want out in the woods is CQB equipment when your goal is keeping a long distance. That’s where 7.62 comes into play though the SCAR would not be my first choice it is lighter. |

View Quote It's mostly personal choice but as someone who carried different rifles statewide and abroad I can tell you that weight is one of the main factors to consider. Fatigue will make you more worthless than the couple hundred meter effective distance loss from a SBR. and the 10.5 AR-15 is good to at least 400 yards with 4x optic |

Its ok OP. I got a pvs7 myself.
They look more comfy than that weird pirate eye setup. |

Looks better than my setup.
But I have patches. I need to add coms and a helmet. Nods and a suppressor would be nice, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. |

I never realized you could wrap a garage door opener with electrical tape and use it as a vertical grip.

That said, the OP's gun is a nice rifle.....it simply offers no advantages over the aforementioned quality AR and IMO, is less desirable. |
