Does he want reelection or just to piss people off?
If he wants full blown piss in the Cheerios, a whole wing at SuperMax in CO would make half of our federal government have a stroke. |

Quoted: Nobody. Presidential pardons are bullshit. View Quote I have always thought it should be by vote of simple majority of the 50 governors, pretty hard to do kickbacks and bribes for pardons with that many involved. Takes away power from the federal government and back to the states as well. |

Every single federal inmate in jail for marijuana trafficking if that's all they did. (Should have done that BEFORE the election)
Every single person involved with the phony russia scandal. And most importantly every single decent person who was snagged by atf on a bullshit gun charge that shouldn't exist. If we wuz president there would be no one in a federal prison for mg / suppressor / sbr if there was no crime of violence. |

I get Assange, but why Snowden? He didn't behave like a whistleblower by making tracks to Russia.

I'd like to see Shane Cox and Jeremy Kettler be pardoned. Theystill haven't been pardoned. The Trump Administration has already denied their pardon once.
Who are they? Two Kansas Residents that made and sold suppressors after Kansas passed a Firearms Freedom Act. BATFE arrested them for violating NFA. Never mind the fact that Kansas' law was the gun version of the marijuana nullification laws that have been enacted across the country. The Trump Administration kept the Obama era order in place that told the DOJ not to enforce drug laws in states that passed marijuana nullification laws. Trump could have instructed the DOJ to do the same with firearms laws but he didn't. So I doubt he'll do anything tomorrow for them. Hell, all he has dome recently is signed an EO today expanding CCW for Judges and Prosecutors only. https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/executive-order-protecting-law-enforcement-officers-judges-prosecutors-families/ Judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement officers should not have to choose between public service and subjecting themselves and their families to danger. My Administration has no higher priorities than preserving the rule of law in our country and protecting the men and women who serve under its flag. Accordingly, I am ordering enhanced protections for judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement officers. Federal law already allows Federal and State law enforcement officers to protect themselves by carrying a concealed firearm, but the Federal Government can do more to cut the red tape that Federal law enforcement officers must navigate to exercise their right. The current threat to Federal prosecutors also demands an expansion of their ability to carry a concealed firearm, as allowed under the Department of Justice’s existing authorities. Finally, the Congress should act expeditiously to adopt legislation extending the right to carry a concealed firearm to Federal judges and pass other measures that will expand our capacity to combat threats of violence against judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement officers. I guess I should have elaborated, in my hypothetical what I would do no one person would have that power. I suppose you could make all sorts of similar setups that reduce corruptibility to the process. |

Release pardon of several democrats that have no current charges and the chance of them ever getting charged is zero. Releaes it's because I know what's coming and that person is a friend of mine. Make them sweat it out. Like little known family of politicians and such.

Pardon power is quite sweeping. Pardon all persons who might have committed: All federal income tax violations committed from Jan 01 1913 thru Jan 19 2021. All federal drug violations committed from Jan 01 1900 thru Jan 19 2021. All federal firearms violations committed from July 01 1934 thru Jan 19 2021. All federal hate crime violations from Jan 01 1914 thru Jan 19 2021. All federal violations committed within the District of Colombia by protesters on Jan 05-07 2021. Etc. |

Quoted: Not that anyone cares what I think, but I disagree. Just as the Supreme Court is supposed to be a check against an overzealous legislature, the power of the pardon is supposed to be a check against abuse of power of the judiciary. But, I don't disagree that the power of the pardon has been abused for political reasons. The development of the use of the pardon power reflects its several purposes. One purpose is to temper justice with mercy in appropriate cases; another is to do justice if new or mitigating evidence comes to bear on a person who may have been wrongfully convicted. Alexander Hamilton reflects this in The Federalist No. 74, in which he argues that “[h]umanity and good policy” require that “the benign prerogative of pardoning” be available to mitigate the harsh justice of the criminal code. The pardon power would provide for “exceptions in favor of unfortunate guilt.” I believe Assange and Snowden should be pardoned. View Quote There is value in the presidential pardon as a check against the judiciary. But presidential pardons have become nothing more than rewards for remaining politically loyal. Hell, I’d like to get rid of executive orders too. They’ve become nothing more than a means for a president to advance his agenda without having to go through congress. |

I really do think Trump should pardon anyone who got hemmed up in the Russia hoax investigation. |
