SGL-21
Wasn't over priced when I bought it. But it's over priced now. Not that I'm complaining |

I bought it as a parts gun, spent almost two years tracking down all of the correct parts for it, then spent over $5000 at Turnbull for the restoration. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/67156/5B9D31B6-60DE-4C50-AB0A-9DAB5F3F3DC4-1463727.jpg Here’s a complete all matching original that’s 3 weeks and a couple hundred serial numbers later than the restored one. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/67156/3DA21EDD-0C34-4D83-9FDA-64B59E390C70-1463726.jpg That's beautiful. I shoot high thumb thumbs forward with pressure against the frame/slide from my support hand... Stupid half a slide has a lump in front of the chamber... like a damn hammer on my support hand thumb knuckle. View Quote That's one of the guns I was incredibly interested in - right until I handled it. I hope someone else tries again. |

Honestly my VP9. Good gun, but the price you pay is way too much.

I have several weapons that, by themselves, should cost anywhere from 500 to 2500 dollars.
I paid orders of magnitude more than that for each simply because they came with a stamp and a piece of paper. |

My POF MP5k clone. I must've got a lemon - sights were off and it was a jam-o-matic. I got to do a bunch of mp5 slaps with it though, so that part was kind of cool. :D My < $600 Ruger PC Carbine is much better (even if much less cool).

I’ve got some bull barrel target rifles that would be hard to sell if I wanted to.
|
|
I’ve got a nice Saiga in 5,45, Soviet plum furniture. Similar guns are going around $2k in my area...and that is obscene.
|
|

PSA 10.5" 5.56 that I filled with $2500 of Geissele and Seekins then rattle canned.

Quoted: Yeah, it's this thing. https://i.imgur.com/BgQ7aWj.jpg For what that cost me to build I could have bought a KAC/Noveske/etc., and at the end of the day it's effectively an A1 rifle with wood furniture. View Quote That thing is super cool! |

Quoted: I guess my semi-auto Madsen might be considered overpriced. I paid around $3000 for it (maybe $3200? - can't remember), and although I obviously think it's really cool, it is essentially just a really big and heavy semi-auto rifle, that is hopelessly obsolete. Once you add the tripod, gunner's kit, tools, etc. and the spare quick-change barrel/breech - I am over $4K into this thing. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/36421.JPG https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/36419.JPG https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/36420.JPG https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/45822.JPG View Quote Do you live in a museum? |

HK SR-9. I have no idea what it's worth, but I'd be happy to unload it.

KAC SR15
Doesn't do anything better than my 6920 with C4 rail. |

Sad thing is, I wouldn't want one gun that's pictured in this thread.. so far.

Quoted: PSA 10.5" 5.56 that I filled with $2500 of Geissele and Seekins then rattle canned. View Quote Hah, I'm in the same boat. Poverty pony lower, G parts kit, DD upper with G rail ACOG/RMR in a G mount with DBAL. The gucciest PovertybPony I know of lol. Still love that gun tho, so overpriced is subjective. Had an M1A socom. Cool, but I liked the money more. Same with an AK I sold for big money last year. |
|
My 416 upper that costs twice as much as a gun that could be argued to be twice as good. So 4 times more expensive per dollar of performance...
Or my Vudoo V22. I have quite a few thousand into that one. |

Bought my first AR before I even found Arfcom. Spikes Tactical "Compressor" in .300BO.
Has a lot of neat features, but after finding this place, I could have built better for that same money. Or not. The stippled grip and afg is cool. The radial fluted barrel is pretty sweet. And the full ambi billet lower, that's also real nice. Just wish I could use the suppressor on something else as well. Damned proprietary gas block seat scheme. |

My 10/22 might qualify. It’s a tack driver, but I have about $700 in it, not counting the AAC Pilot that keeps it quiet.

Quoted: SIG P210 (as I have been known to mention before ) Outdated and obsolete when it was released, it is pointlessly overengineered/built gun. It's basically an overpriced curiosity. When I finally get my M203 for my Block II M4 it’ll be just at $9k. When I swap the Surefire RC with a KAC NT4 and get a Eotech MRDS to put on top of the SU-230, It’ll be over $10k.
If just gun, probably MK23 or Benelli M4 SBS. LMT M203 I guess too. |

Sako AV 7mm Mag Factory Threaded Barrel and Factory Synthetic Stock. The smoothest best shooting bolt gun I have ever shot. It is dead nuts accurate.
|
|
Depends on how you define overpriced.
I have 9 Wilson Combat pistols. Glock fanbois and I would disagree... |
|
I paid Turnbull Mfg $475 to make me two hammer screws for my Drilling...
That seemed a bit crazy to everyone in my family except for me. |
