It is a fact, that the Warhol Mao painting is not, and WAS not in any way created as a “celebration” of Mao.

It was created as a commentary about fame.  Just like Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe, Jackie O, and Tomato Soup paintings.

Treating Mao as though he was just another celebrity was found to be so insulting, that the Chinese Communist Party banned exhibiting copies of it in China.  They were particularly insulted by the way Warhol made it look as though he was wearing makeup.

As to “how old are you?”...
