Norinco! I don’t know if I’ve seen that add before.
I have one. I think I paid $225 for it. Replaced everything except frame and slide. Still have the original Crome lined barrel packed with the 3k of wcc42 45 ball ammo I picked up. Great pistol |

View Quote Gorgeous. I could have bought one cheap many years ago, but alas I was poor. |

Quoted: I love those vintage HK ads. First thing I saw when I opened the thread was the Will County Sheriff's Dept. patch - that's where I used to prosecute and practice law. View Quote @Eric802 My step father retired from Will County Sheriff Office. I grew up there. I have patches if you want one. |

I remember that Norinco ad.
All the NRA bullseye shooters I knew growing up talked a bunch of shit about them being crap, but they actually were the best steel (5100) you could get in a 1911. They are an absolute bitch to machine if you work on one. If I remember right, it more or less forced Colt to step up their game and get their low end models to feed JHPs, and to introduce the 1991A1 at a competitive price (maybe $100 more than the Norinco). |

I remember the first, Glock, poster from the wall our local indoor range / gun store ( worked there also )

Quoted: Sweet in on day 2. I may remember some of those ads while reading my dad gun mags that he always had in the bathroom when i was a kid. I always loved the super old school Winchester prints https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/407062/1-the-competition-philip-r-goodwin-1766766.jpg https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/407062/1-the-kind-that-gets-em-unknown-1766769.jpg View Quote Those are awesome |

That was almost $1500 edit: https://i.imgur.com/SPeQfb1.jpg Have a P7M8 also. Bought 6/18/05. Not bragging, just happy to be smart once in a while. That 91 was a low price because I was a FFL at the time, bought from H&K in Chantilly, VA. |

Lots of work, not many original parts left on it, ported barrel and slide. Smiths have told me they really enjoy working on these. |
