I broke my no pre-order policy for CP2077. I simply have to have it preloaded and ready to go on the 10th. I also got my RTX 3080 last week, and slapped it into my new R5 5600X system, so I should be ready to play it with max settings on my ultrawide 3440x1440. |

They should have made this game for next gen consoles and PC only. If they did that it'd be out already and we wouldn't be in the dark as to when the PS5 and XBSX versions will be out. Not only that they had to dial the game back to get it to run on PS4.
That said I'm excited for this game. I have it on pre-order but do not plan on playing it until the full PS5 version is released. |

I am excited for this game, but it's tempered with a bit of trepidation because I'm also one of the few people who couldn't get into The Witcher 3. Most of that was the setting, which just didn't click for me, so I am hopeful I will be good with C2077. I'll preorder digitally and get my preloading started tonight or tomorrow, but I've heard the big day one patch is a necessity.
I have an XSX, so I've been spending a fair bit of time with Gears Tactics (OK game, too much filler and overly long boss fights) and Yakuza Like a Dragon (which I'm enjoying so far, but about to hit the chapter 12 difficulty spike and will need to start grinding). |
|
Also, if anyone wants a great rpg that I think has multi-player, check out the Baldurs Gate 3 pre-release. It's awesome, if you're into d&d. Not finished, but what's there is huge, compelling, great graphics, writing... Etc. It's really well done. I've been playing it on Twitch all week.
It's my test game before streaming cyberpunk. I've got a 3090 and 48" cx. I should probably go grab an extra pack of adult diapers. |

I spent 50 hours in chapter 3 alone, just collecting resources and rebuilding the entire highway network across the entire map. |

So I imagine I will like CP2077... if you can follow my logic. I'll probably wait until I get around to moving to next-gen before I play it though. I've got a good backlog at the moment. |

I had to push myself to get in to The Witcher even though I like D&D stuff, but it was an amazing game as well. I trust CDPR will kick ass on Cyberpunk. |

Preload is available for steam, along with many others. It's just under 60 GB on PC, roughly 70 GB on Xbox, and 102 GB on Playstation. Expect a hefty day one patch.

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: I don’t like console controllers for 3d games, those are even more clumsy. Maybe I’d have more drive to get better if I wasn’t waiting around during scripted scenes, not my kind of thing. Then why bother with narrative driven RPG's at all? You can grind for hours and hours on Destiny or Warframe and never see a cutscene or bit of dialogue. As a warframe and destiny 2 player... This is true although there are less cutscenes in Warframe yet somehow tons of annoy dialog. (Looking at you Ropalolyst fight). I'm interested in the reviews here for this. I haven't been as excited for this but the tidbits that have come out have me growing in interest. |

This should be an awesome game, probably won't pick it up for awhile though, I'll wait until I get around to buying a ps5 or new pc

Review embargo has been lifted. Tom's put out a length article detailing performance with various GPUs and settings. Looks like my 3080 is good for ~60 Fps at 1440p with max setting and DLSS.... guess I'm gonna have to turn some stuff down on my 3440x1440 ultrawide.

Any idea if Walmart or Gamestop will have physical copies on launch day?
I'm working like 5 minutes from either one, but on both sites pre-ordering for pick up isn't an option. It's cheaper on Amazon, but not sure if it will ship on release day or arrive on release day, and I'm gonna want to play it on Sunday. |

I just download games these days.
My cyberpunk pre-order is updating right now. |

Anyone got a good starter guide? Tips and tricks, good builds for different playstyles? My problem when starting a new game like this is I'm usually completely lost and end up making dumb decisions with talent points resulting in a weak character.

But I'm sure there will be youtube videos out shortly after or right before release. That's how I am with most games. I watched a lot of GOW gameplay before I bought it and although the entire game is awesome, it kind of messed a few parts up for me. It's more fun to experiment on your own, especially now when most games allow you to rebuild characters later if you don't like them much. |

I went the complete opposite direction of 99.9 percent of the posters in this thread.. I actually canceled my pre-order. I got sick and tired of the delays.. and seeing all the marketing for this game.. From energy drinks to fkn shoes... It pissed me off.. I want to play the game but when I found out that the multiplayer side of things wasnt even goin to be an option til probably 2022. I got out.. I will wait for the bugs to get ironed out and get the PS5 version.

No, but given that this is an nVidia sponsored title, the DLSS implementation looks decent at first glance, and the fully optimized next-gen console version doesn't come out until next year, I am confident that a 2070 will be well above the consoles. |

Still patiently waiting. Didn't board the hype train on this one, and don't really have any expectations. So even if it is only mediocre (zero chance) I'm good.
