Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Can ammo be shipped to Los Angeles County???

I remember reading somewhere that while rifle ammunition can be legally shipped into Los Angeles County, pistol ammunition cannot.

Does anyone have any info on this?

That's the way I remember it. The issue is with ammo that goes both ways like .22 LR. The ban is very effective since all the suburbs around there never sell ammo either [;)]

I order both rifle and pistol ammo all the time with no problem. I do wonder what the UPS guy thinks due to the fact that the packages states ammo is inside? But he is real nice to me
