Plus between my mom, my dad, and me the EMS knows exactly where we live. |

Quoted: That's how it starts you know. First you'll shoot a few rounds of .308. Then you'll realize that shooting .223 is just a slightly bigger version of .22LR, good only for plinking or shooting 'yotes, and is suitable just for the likes of homosexuals and Cubs fans (although I repeat myself) while .308 is good for killing deer and Communists alike. Then you'll start to question your pistol caliber choices. 9mm is too small. .45ACP is good, but somehow lacking. 40S&W is the preference of homosexuals and Yankees fans (although I repeat myself). Then yo find out about 10mm and how it is what God Himself shoots. Eventually you will come to Nirvana when you ditch your AR platform entirely and join the M1A tribe and carry a 10mm 1911 as your daily driver. Then, and only then, will you truly be a part of the Master Race. View Quote |

View Quote I like Clev but even at the time of the trade I noted that he's an injury risk and older than most thought. Sad to see it come to the worst case scenario. but on the other hand, Kluber and Clev trades huh. Kinda interesting now in hindsight. |

Quoted: Quoted: yep. that will be his 2nd tj surgery too. Quite the gamble. Oof, didnt know that Still, not a bad deal for Clev. He gets $11.5m and zero pressure for 2021 since it will be his rehab year. Even if he can't come back to form in '22 he gets paid even if he just ends up in the bullpen or something. But yeah, it's a very risky investment for the Dads. Then again, according to the article on the Dad's website, the deal includes buying out his two years of arbitration. Maybe that figured into their decision if they figured they can't offload him because he's getting TJ now and will miss '21 entirely. The ways of the GM are not for such as me. |

The Cardinals signed a catcher just in case Yadi doesnt come back.
He's 29 years old and has 62 MLB plate appearances. Click To View Spoiler |

I'd say that's a huge gut punch for the Padres. With a healthy Clevinger, they could have gotten away with their rotation as is, and maybe signed a 4/5 starter.
Gore and Patino will likely be ready next season at some point, but they'll be on an innings cap. Padres were poised to make a run at the division. Tough break. |

I was watching MLB today and they kept talking about Kim Ng being the first woman GM and what it means. All I could think of is how hard it is going to be to fire her.

View Quote I wonder if Jetes and friends thought about that angle. If she doesn't get a warchest to work with or makes a few bad trades or a few really bad seasons with no improvement someone is going to be held to blame and shown the door. If they fire her the PR fallout will be unreal. |

Quoted: You gotta explain to 'em what the lunchbox thing means. I seriously wish I would have gotten in the beginning of that project. View Quote well it's going on two years now and a continuation from the Xmas cheer program from silencertalk a decade ago. but long story short it's a Johnny Cash reference to when he worked at a Caddilac factory and took "one piece at a time" to build his own caddy. Johnny Cash - One Piece At A Time Cash ended up with a Caddy that was a mishmash of parts because it took years to complete. He stole one piece at a time. The lunchbox gun was to "span across all eras" in the same vein. So that's why the receiver set is preban. The bbl is from an ECC model. And the final drop is to be a special rail, carrier, and cam pin. We don't know what rail yet, but KAC has a lot to pull from and they've killed it every step yet. this is the lunchbox the receiver set came in to follow the song Attached File all in all it's been really cool for a company like KAC to do something like this for their enthusiasts. I'm one of 49 arfcomers to get in it. Only 149 total in the world. My sig shows my number is 137. |
