Took a family photo tonight, nothing like some of y'all, as I just really got into it over the last few years. Also missing a few of my regulars like EW Single barrel, Elijah Craig, and OF1920.

I will try this. I don’t mind spending money on good stuff but I,m not interested in supporting the “fad” bourbon.

Had a hankering for a wheater yesterday, stopped for a bottle of Bernheim on the way home.
Disappointed by not one, not two, but three! different shops on my quest. Grabbed a nice bottle of Redemption to make up for the let down. Got home and open the cabinet to grab a glencairn and a nice new bottle of Bernheim was staring me in the face. |

I was at Total Wine shopping for a Japanese Whisky (bought a bottle of Nikka Coffey Grain) and overheard an employee recommending this one as being similar to Blanton's.
I've never had Blanton's, so I wouldn't know. It's not bad. Nothing really special, though. I wouldn't pay $50 for it again. I would hope that Blanton's is WAY better than this recommendation (considering the price.) Here's part of the review by breaking bourbon.com: Bib & Tucker 6-year Distillery: Sourced (Rumored to be from Dickel) Released: October 2014 Proof: 92 Age: 6 Years (Note that while all future releases will follow the 6 year age statement, 35 Maple Street Spirits has stated that this first batch averages more around 7.5 years) Mashbill: 70% Corn, 26% Rye, 4% Malted Barley Color: Straw MSRP: $55 (2017) "This is definitely an interesting bourbon. It didn’t have a flavor profile that immediately made me love it, but it had enough curious elements that piqued my interest. Its flavor profile is definitely different than most bourbons, which probably doesn’t make this a great bourbon if you’re new to the spirit. For a seasoned bourbon drinker, Bib & Tucker is going to be a “sorta like it” or “hate it a lot” bourbon. I don’t see it as a bourbon people are going to fall head over heals for. The flavor profile just isn’t at that level. But because of its very unique flavor, some people might be intrigued, while others are going to downright hate it." |

No lottery or ABC in AZ so allocated bottles go right to secondary pricing. Low price on W12 was $119, high $199. Walmart has had bottles for $37 and is a crap shoot getting them. I know of 3 liquor stores that are well stocked with all the Wellers, BTAC and some even have a full Pappy lineup. Prices are as expected. |

It had an older label, and might have been their Tennessee Malt Whiskey, because I recall mine having a blue label. It was so bad I could not give it away. One of my newest discoveries has been Russell’s Reserve 10 year, it’s a very tasty drink drink with a great nose. It’s about $33 in my parts and I would gladly pay more for it. I hate to admit it but I’ve gone through two bottles since December, I’m having a glass right now....
