That's not how we did donuts in the parking lot when I was in high school.

Nah, his Mini probably would have bounced right over it.

There is a good chance that his Jeep
is not 4WD.

Also would likely break the universal joint in the axle working the steering wheel.

Also, if it was one of those drive-thru windows that corral you and he got tired of waiting, I can understand why he would have made the maneuver.

You’re kidding right?

Yes, 2wd jeeps are around in the early unlimiteds

They make 2 wheel drive jeeps. He also would have to turn hard to the right to get the drivers side tire to bite. Probably would drop his soy latte in the process. And after owning a Rubicon it might break the "FUCKING PLASTIC WASHER" that holds the shifter cables in place leaving you in 4 low . It actually moves slightly forward or backwards to engage 4H/L  . To be fair he may really be fucked

But now my dad calls me. "Hello, son? I flipped the skid loader again...."

I've seen similar though. Kid loses control and goes through a barb wire fence, crashes into a ditch, calls 911. 1st responders can't find anything wrong with him, paramedics can't find anything wrong with him. Cops and firefighters look at the car. Kids dad and mom show up, dad hops in the car and drives it home.

Yes, many people are idiots.  At Big Bend NP there is a 2-track called Black Gap.  It is unmaintained with a little gnarl in a couple of places, but it ain't "Five Miles of Hell" in Utah.  I was camped at the Rio Grande Village in the park and met these yuppie hipsters from Austin, TX drinking wine and schmoozing it up.  They had "that look".

They were nice enough, and I chatted a few minutes with them.  Late that night I'm awakened at about 2:00AM to see a park ranger vehicle dropping them off at their tents.  I don't see the 3/4 ton Ford pickup they were driving earlier.

The next morning I'm doing the Black Gap trail on my dirt bike, and at the top of a long climb I see a ranger vehicle and the yuppie's Ford pickup.  They're blocking the narrow 2-track, so I kill the motor to check it out.  The Ford had slid to the side on the climb and lost traction...not a mechanical breakdown.  They had to walk 10 miles to pavement...in the dark.  There's no phone service out there.

The ranger got in the pickup, put it in 4WD and drove forward with no issue.  Yes...they didn't even have the truck in 4WD and apparently were clueless about engaging it.

I predict as our soft society breaks down socially and economically that Darwin will claim many victims.

Maybe it's 2wd.

There are also an alarmingly large number of owners who have NO idea how to engage their 4wd systems even if they're equipped.

Pretty hard to find.
But are usually pretty damn clean when you find one. Took a buddy quite a while to find one but got one pretty cheap.
2WD doesn't matter when LS3, Atlas and 60s are going in it, just less parts to unbolt.

Heh.

My dad managed to run over his own foot while driving his forklift.  A standard sit-down one, not one of the standing models.

To make it worse, he was wearing flip-flops.  That left a mark.
